Faced with the issues of euthanasia, explain how a Christian might respond, showing that you have thought about more than on point of view.

Being a Christian faced with euthanasia would be hard. A person might feel that it is their duty to take care of an ill person, which includes not letting them suffer. This is showing what Jesus taught, compassion. The patient might be in so much pain, that they cannot take life anymore, and would rather die than see their relatives upset by what they are seeing. Also, if a person has the right to do as they like with their body, then surely, if they are ill, they can decide when they want to die.

And, if they want, they can die in the comfort of their own home, with their relatives around them. Finally, the Bible does not say that someone should be kept alive no matter what. And anyway, we are all going to die someday so why can't this ill person that is in an unbearable amount of pain die today. After all, it is showing compassion. Finally, the body is a temple (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We must take care and respect this temple. And so ending the life of a terminally ill person would be counted as taking care of this temple.

On the other hand, God has a plan for each and every one of us, and it would be disrespectful for us to spoil it. Christians believe that all life is sacred. It was given to us by God, and so only He has the right to decide when it ends. God has a plan for everyone so it will be wrong to spoil it.
