This is an interpretation of what a snake would have looked like before he suffered under Gods punishment, to crawl across the Earth on his belly.

My picture
All my picture shows is a apple, and a box of cigarettes, both with ‘why not?’ written above them
The apple symbolises the fruit that Adam and Eve ate against the will of god. I say an apple because nobody really knows what was the fruit that they ate in the first place, so almost any fruit could take that place.
The cigarettes are there to symbolize the temptation of our world today, of teenagers temped by their friends. It is like how Adam and Eve were tempted because they thought that eating the fruit would make them smart, and therefore happy, and in the modern world the teenager might take the cigarettes since he/she thought it would make him/her cool and therefore happy.
Of course in both cases they were wrong. Adam and Eve didn’t find that they were happy, on the contrary, they were ashamed, and embarrassed, since they had betrayed God, they were perfectly happy and they took something that they didn’t need.
The same goes for the modern day version, if some one took a cigarette, they might feel depressed, sick, and soon he might realize that he has made friends with all the wrong people. Again, he/she might have been perfectly happy until they took something they didn’t need.
These two examples are similar and different in many ways, first are the object of temptation, the fruit and the cigarettes. The cigarettes show the modern day temptation, what it might be like for us. The modern day temptation can change into almost anything; it could be chocolate if you’re on a diet. You cold think one piece couldn’t hurt, but then again all the above follows.
When tempted you often don’t look over the consequences, again the diet example works for this one. If you eat some chocolate and you think it wouldn’t hurt, your only lying to yourself, and one piece of chocolate can lead to another and another.
The snake in the middle shows that whenever someone is tempted the devil is always present to make you favour good over evil. The snake in the picture shows how he is tempting them, Go on, and take it! And the human brain compromises and thinks why not?

Summery
An elaboration on the biblical account of Adam and Eve, this story, in the Latin version called Vita Adae ET Evae, probably comes from the same source as the Apocalypse of Moses. Various, significant differences, however, allow for a variety of explanations as to their relation. The account begins after Adam and Eve have been forced to leave the garden, but the characters recall their life in the garden on several occasions.
Eve is portrayed as entirely responsible for the fall and subsequent transgressions. While Adam attempts to do penitence, Satan, who, this time appears to her as an angel of light, again deceives Eve. Thus, when in the pain of childbirth Eve pleads God for mercy, she receives none. But when Adam asks for assistance for her, his request is granted. Many other elements of the story that are not provided in the canon are included in The Life, such as: Satan’s fall from Heaven, an early vision given Eve regarding her son’s demise, Adam and Eve’s 60 additional children, and the serpent biting Seth. In this story, the supposition is that when a person dies, his or her spirit leaves the body and is not rejoined until the resurrection in the age to come.
Conclusion
There are many cases of the modern world Adam and Eve story, everywhere, you just need to look for them, the story is all about temptation, and man gets tempted everyday, whether its little things that don’t really come into the big picture such as small questions, where you are tempted to tell a lie or give a different answer, or huge things that can cause many things to come into effect, such as deals for businesses, or even emotional temptations.
My picture is a very basic outlook on what the story of the fall of man might be like today in the modern world, its very simple. The thought bubble is almost essential because it shows what the tempted is thinking; this is what almost every person that is tempted thinks. “Why not?” “What’s the worst that can happen” “it won’t harm me!”
It is these thoughts that someone thinks when they try to convince themselves that what they are doing is right, and that if something did go wrong it wouldn’t harm them to have a go at what ever is at hand, whether it be drugs, conversation or any other situation.
