Since television there has always been religious programs aimed at a Christian tradition. In Britain there were few other beliefs around in the United Kingdom. Christian religious programs roots came from Christian churches.
However, now religious programming has changed many people now in the UK are less religious and therefore less likely to watch these programs.
There are still a few religious programs that remain; most of these programs that still exist are made for sacred events such as Easter.
