However, other people disagree that ‘there should be no rich people as long as there is poverty in the world’.
It is not a question of no rich people but using their resources to help the poor so they
can share the dignity and opportunity. Therefore some people think that there will
always be poverty. This is evident by the quote from Deuteronomy 15:11. Poverty
only exist because of human greed and selfishness as humans are greedy by nature
and even if there was no poverty someone will be greedy and take more than he or she
needs. Poverty does not exist because of rich people but because there are humans.
Poverty is a intimate part of the world. Global quality would never succeed because
no one wants to be the same and if there weren’t any rich people, who would help the
poor? How could our global society stay strong?
Jesus once said to his disciples to leave everything and follow him. Jesus is trying to
say that if you give up everything you will be completely moral. There is a saying, it
is more difficult for a rich man to get to heaven than a camel to pass through the eye
of a needle. This is because if someone is rich, they are so attached to their wealth
that it is very hard for them to give it up and be completely moral. However, Jesus is
not anti-wealth but just to challenge the rich to give up their money. There is a saying
that goes through the line of, “What has Ceases given to Caesar?” meaning that
money is not important. But people are rewarded for being morally a good person.
They will gain reward in heaven. If the rich uses their wealth badly, they will get
punished but if they use their wealth in a good way, they will be rewarded. Christians
are committed to the kingdom of god. This is attempting to make everyone rich.
Other people think that there shouldn’t be rich people if there is poverty because the
rich always exploit the poor and there should be fairness. the rich are too attached to

material wealth. You should treat others as you would treat yourself. If you were
poor, you would be happy is someone donated to you that’s why there are so many
different charities. God wants them to share.
As 1 Timothy 6:10 says “money is the root of all evil.” It is bad to be rich because
you are making many other people poor and to Christianity that is evil. God gave
plenty of resources to the world but not to any specific group.
I think that there should be rich people and poor people because no one would want to
be the same because the world would be very boring. If there were no rich in the there
would be no one to help the poor and there would not be any quality of life. Even if
there were rich, they would still give some of their money to charity. For example Bill
Gates, he give a enormous amount of money to charity every year, that because he
makes so much money that he should do something good with his wealth. Since there
will always be poor no matter what, there will be no difference if there were rich
people.
