On the contrary, other groups, such as (for lack of a better word) feminists, tend to be pro-abortion on the matter of abortion. They feel that a woman should have complete control over her body, and she should be able to choose to remove the child from her womb and she should be permitted that privilege, as stated in the Constitution (Right to Pursue Happiness).
As we look into the issue of abortion, we may notice that people sharing the same view on the general issue of abortion may share opposing views on specific issues of abortion. For example, one pro-abortionist supporter may claim that the foetus is not yet human, and therefore, aborting it cannot be considered murder. However, another pro-abortionist may claim that the foetus is, in fact, a human being; however, it is only a potential person, and therefore aborting it should be considered completely moral.
As you can see from the previous example, abortion is a very controversial subject. Its place in society today continues to change as the people in power continue to change. Conflicts do arise because of these things, and so, many times, especially in the case of anti-abortionist actions, it may even lead to murders. In the case of anti-abortionists, certain extremists went to the extent of murdering a doctor who performed abortion.
The biggest problem with abortion as of now is the facts people use to back up their own personal beliefs on the issue. Some Christian anti-abortionists may claim that God has chosen to love all people, whether they be in the form of a growing foetus or a full-grown human. However, if this fact was taken into context with its actual writing, this may not be true at all . Thus, people may twist facts, statements, and statistics to suit their own argument, and so it is not entirely possible or advisable to believe everything stated when debating the issue of abortion.
