Fair test:

We will make this a fair test by keeping the voltage, type of wire, thickness of the wire the same. The only thing we will change will be the length of the wire.

Method: 

Get a piece of wire and measure it into sections of 10cms, 20cms, 30cms, 40cms, and 50cms.

Attach it to a power supply at 3 volts and measure the current that flows through it. Do this 5 times, then calculate the resistance using the most common recording by dividing the current by the voltage.

Preliminary experiment:

The preliminary experiment shows that Constantan is the best metal to use.

Conclusion:

My prediction was right because the longer the wire was the higher the resistance was.

Evaluation:

The graph shows that the longer the wire is the higher the resistance is. This is because the longer the wire, the further and the longer the electrons have to travel to get through the wire.
