Response to the question

The response is to a very high level. The candidate develops the essay well throughout to a very well thought out conclusion and beginning with an adequate introduction which sets the scene of vaccines and this particular case very well. The arguments show in depth and analysis and consideration of each one. Done to a very high level for this level of qualification.

Level of analysis

The introduction clearly sets out what they are going to discuss in this essay, setting out which main points they think are relevant and putting the essay into context in relation to general vaccine administration which is done very well. The conclusion is long and well developed throughout, drawing into conclusions the different arguments they have examined and finally reaching their own conclusion based on the evidence. They show in depth consideration and understanding of the issues discussed. The candidate lays out the background of the vaccine and the different diseases to gain an understanding of each and whether a vaccine should be employed. This is a good technique showing thorough background research. I'm not sure they need to be discussed at depth of symptoms as the main focus of attention is the vaccine and only a baseline discussion of the pros and cons of vaccinating against each disease should really be discussed. They provide very in depth research on the arguments for and against the vaccine and evaluate each source as they go along which shows a high level of understanding but I would include the source evaluating in an appendix as it interrupts the flow of the essay and the topic discussed.

Quality of writing

The layout is presented in leaflet form which has some attractive pictures and a good layout although this would not be classed as professional looking. The list of references used is good, but it does not relate to where it came from in the text which should have been used.
