"How do you understand Chinese perception on human relationships based on your own experience? In what ways does the understanding enable you to start your career in Chinese society?" As a Chinese, I think I have a good grasp of how Chinese perceive human relationship. I personally feel that Chinese people have a very strong sense of bond. In my own experience I can say that all the relatives I have, normally have a family gathering, the whole purpose being to maintain a good human relationship. Middle

In my situation, I have a lot of friends in both Hong Kong and Canada, and to me, all I would treat all of these friends as a family member. Another important aspect of the Chinese perception is the idea of giving more then taking. My family has always taught me that sometimes it doesn't mean if you're giving more then taking, then its going to be something bad, because sometimes you'll never know when you need help, and therefore you can rely on those people that you had once helped. Conclusion

What I actually mean is that to succeed in a Chinese society, relationship and learning to blend with your workmates is a far more important task. Another thing to remember is that when you do start a career, if the people around you are Chinese, then first impressions are very important. This is their mainly concern. I'm not sure how other societies feel about this, but as my own personal experience suggests, first impressions are very important. If you want to please people, how you first talk to them and show your appearance means so much, because if you don't do this the 1st time round, these people will unlikely change their perception of you, no matter how much they have misunderstood you the first time round. ...read more.
