A new concept of schooling is stretching across America. All year school keeps students in school throughout the entire year. All year school may seem like it would increase the students learning abilities and their test scores, but it is not exactly what

  Secondly, summertime is an important part of a teenager's life. Teenagers can join different kinds of outdoor activities during two months holiday. They often join summer camps, have picnics, or take a trip to other countries to learn different culture. Teens are active. These outdoor activities provide chances to let teenagers let off  some steam. Without enough time to do outdoor exercise, students may easier to get tired. According to the recent survey, above 30% students said they have to cut their sporting and family activities in half because of the all-year schedule. There are some students who have difficulty with attention, they are not ready for longer periods of time are unlikely to get more out of a longer school day. This may increase the amount of behavioral issues in the classroom. Take a trip is also a good way for students to discover and explore their talents and interests. But with only few days vocation, it would be difficult to coordinate family vocation with parent's work schedules. Canada is a multiple country. There are lots of students who go back their country during two months holidays. If two months holidays are no longer exist, they would not be able to visit their country during their school life. Myself is a very good example on this issue. I am from China, and I visit China every two year in the summer. I cannot imagine my school life without two months holidays. Although there would be more frequent breaks during the school year, but teenagers can do much more things on longer holidays.

  Lastly, teenagers who need to work to help gaining experiences or making money for university may have difficulty holding or finding a job. Two months holidays provide a great opportunity for teenagers to get a job for themselves. Doing a summer job provides several benefits. For example, teens learn teamwork, gain real life experiences, value from doing a summer job. Schools do not teach student all these things that students can only learn from their life experiences. A famous American author, Tom Bodett, had said that "In school, you are taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you are given a test that teaches you a lesson". Students who have financial difficulties may not be able to earn enough money to support for college or university. Because of the financial difficulties, teens may have to work after school every day to earn enough money. It is very hard to balance between work and learning. Therefore, working may affect their grades or even college application. As a result, the loss overweights the gain. Why don't we take full advantage of the two months holidays? Teenagers can use two months holidays to solve their financial problem, and they can gain real life experiences from work. It is a good way to kill twp birds with one stone.

  As I have known, there are less than 5% schools are using a all-year schedule in North America. All year school is experimental. Although it has several benefits, but there are more shortages than benefits for having an all-year school schedule. All year school lacks of budgets, reasonable time arrangements, and life experiences for students. Therefore, in my opinion, all year school is not feasible for nowadays society.
