On what basis can spiritual predictions be considered as “Knowledge” and to what extent do they influence human behavior?

Rena: Ancient Chinese belief of mediums conveys the image of afterlife and helps contact the dead. They can predict the future since the celestial beings are clairvoyant. Our family goes in it. Great grandmother was predicted by the medical authorities to die soon but grandmother went through the medium and made a pact with the hell guard to trader 10 years of her life to her mother. Strangely, great grandmother ended up living approximately 10 years more.

Faizal: (Counter Argument) – How can you pinpoint cause and effect; Maybe it’s coincidence. Maybe it was the Chinese temple pill or herbs that she was taking that prolonged her life. All in all, it’s a statistically deviant point and 1/1 million random occurrence.

Rena: It seems there is another ancient spiritual practice of Chinese fortune reading based on the five elements of fire, earth, air, water and metal. Once one has mastered the art in decoding these old texts, one can find out the weightage of each of these elements in a person based on his/her time and date of birth in the Chinese lunar calendar and predict ones behavior and eventual destiny.

Fire and wood are directly connected because one needs wood to make fire. Ashes i.e. earth is the byproduct. From Earth, comes mineral and metals. Elaborate how from metals one gets water which connects back to wood. Hence, all these elements are connected. Elaborate what each element means

Moreover, the seemingly superstitious connotations associated with five element readings actually has a deeply logical  and structured foundation based on the exact science of reading the texts and arriving at individual’s behavioral predictions.

Faizal: All this sounds good in theory but have you experience it in actuality?
