This quote is Septimus talking to Chater and Noakes. This quote shows us that Septimus does not mind talking about private maters such as carnal embrace. The writer shows us us that Septimus is very cheeky because he is talking about having carnal embrace with Chater's wife and all the places it took place and whether it was good or not. The writer also shows us that Septimus calls Noakes a jumped - up jobbing gardener. This shows that Septimus does not care about being horrible to some one if front of their face. All of these quotes have showed us a lot about Septimus and the way he acts. The quotes have showed us that Septimus wants to live life to the full, however there are consequences to this, as we have seen.
