However all my competition will be from hand car washes around Langley. This is because the distance between Langley and Slough is not very far so people will have no problem in getting to either of the towns. In a way this is an advantage for me as I will be able to target a much larger target market.
As you can see in my appendices I have included a picture of the property my car wash will be located on as well as the asking price for the rent and a description of the property.
WHY I THINK PEOPLE WILL BUY MY SERVICE?
I think people will buy my service rather than going to any of my competitors due to my unique selling point (USP). My USP is going to be pre-booking for hand car washes and cleans.
No other hand car wash in the entire Berkshire offers this service to any of their customers. This has resulted in many customers getting fed up of waiting for their turn to come and either going back home or getting their car auto-washed from nearby petrol stations.
Also another thing is that where I am locating my hand car wash there is no other hand car wash in Langley. This will help me to gain a majority of the potential customers in Langley.

All the services that I am going to offer are going to be normal services those other car washes around Berkshire. However services such as pre-booking and interior polish are not offered anywhere else in Berkshire.
This means that all the other hand car ashes will be offering their customers what I will offer mine but I will have to extra services for my customers which will help me gain my competitors customers as well as gain loyalty from my customers.
TYPE OF OWNERSHIP
The type of ownership that I have decided to have for my business is a Private Limited Company (LTD). I have decided to have this form of ownership because I am going to sell 40% of the businesses shares to a member of my family. I have decided to do this because this way the person who buys the shares will give me money which I can spend on building the business.
Also with the financial help I get from that shareholder of mine it will mean that I will need a smaller loan from the bank. This will reduce the businesses costs as well as my personal costs. This will also mean it will be quicker for me to break-even and make a profit.
Also if I make my business a LTD company then my business will have limited liability which will mean me and the other person investing in my business will only lose the initial investment we put into the business.

∙ The person that established the business may not be the chairman
∙ You can only sell shares to family and friends
∙ You have to pay shareholders dividends
∙ There is a financial and administration cost associated with setting up and running the business unlike a sole trader.
∙ Harder to raise finance.
