“THE THIRD PLACE”

INTRODUCTION

The Third Place, unlike a typical café, will give a unique forum for communication and entertainment through the medium of the internet. The Third place is the answer to an increasing demand and we emphasize on supporting educational. Chulalongkorn University campus area is located in the centre of Bangkok city, in the most valuable property of Bangkok. There are many advantages, as well as some drawbacks, for example, crowded, lack of internet, and lack of parking area. These drawbacks have huge affect over Chulalongkorn students, teachers, and staffs. Students have no place to go or study while waiting for their next class; while teachers and staffs have no place that they can relax during their break.

The public wants: (1) access to the methods of communication and volumes of information now available on the Internet, and (2) access at a cost they can afford and in such a way that they aren't socially, economically, or politically isolated. The Third Place’s goal is to provide the community with a social, educational, entertaining, atmosphere for worldwide communication.

 Nowadays people are likely to go hangout or study outside their home because it is more convenient and better atmosphere, moreover it provide service such as food, drink, internet, and allow people to easily arrange a meeting with their friends. The Third Place will provide its customers with a full featured Internet café. A unique, upscale, and innovative environment is required to provide the customers with an atmosphere that will spawn socialization. Successful operation in year one will provide The Third Place with a customer base that will allow it to be self sufficient in year two. The Third Place will be like home to its customer, it will be the next popular place in that area. So there is extremely high chance for success.
