Sequence of Thinking Process

Evaluate, apply and synthesize are terms come in sequence regarding to thinking process related to a particular situation. These terms are applicable in thinking process related to almost all aspects like literature, theories, business studies etc. These terms best suit with case studies, as they are descriptions of various angles of a situation.

Evaluation for Final Judgment

In wider sense ‘evaluate’ implies to examine various angles of a situation with an aim to make a final judgment. Mathison S (2005:78) observes to judge or assess the worth of something against some criteria is meant by evaluate.

In business context it is the critical thinking process related to case studies. Sound interpretation of data is essential for evaluation.

Sousa DA(2009:54) Describes

Evaluate as judging the value of given data on the basis of specific criteria and standards. Learners examine criteria from several categories and select those that are the most relevant to the situation. Learners tend to consolidate their thinking and become more receptive to the other points of view.

Evaluation Plan for Implementation

Valuable and credible conclusion is the outcome of a good evaluation. The process of evaluation may be affected negatively by self-interested perceptions and assertions, undocumented claims and biases. To make the conclusion credible the process of evaluation should be scientific. An evaluation must provide information that address the situation and should be communicated timely and in an acceptable format to the decision makers. Rossi PH(2004) observes  to evaluate a situation scientifically, an evaluation plan may be implemented which include three aspects
