Why did you start this project?
We wanted to know why he started this major project and what his expectations were throughout the plan.
I believe in team work. Together we can make it happen. Those were my thoughts when I first decided to implement my idea. I know I can do this because I trust my employees. I hope they won’t let me down. This huge project is an approach to top the world charts. I wish to attract new customers and increase the reputation of our company in the world of m-commerce and E-business. As the market is growing we have to be a step forward in order to remain one of the top ones. This project is not just an attempt to create the annual new service but also. This project is huge, but is supposed to have greater benefits as well. This service is going to let the consumer locate their friend or relative with a simple click. It’s quite a revolutionary idea actually. In other words, your mum will never be worried about where you are! (Laughs)
Where did you get the idea from?
We were wondering what made the managing director go for this exact project.
Honestly, I got the idea right after when a dear friend was involved in a major accident where he went unconscious. Later on he wouldn’t tell me which hospital he was admitted in because he didn’t want us to bother come and visit him. This made me think about the situation. If only I had a way to find him without asking the man himself. Obviously I could call every hospital in the city, but that’s too much of a mess. And I had a couple of other opportunities but that would take some time and would cause inconveniency. I would rather like to locate him quickly. That’s how I thought about how important it was to have a quickly available service for that. The resemblance of the idea was always there but I just put my thoughts into it and wish to see it in the practical successfully.
What makes you think this project will be successful?
We were wondering what made them think that this project will be better than there last project.
This project will become more popular and successful and will be found very useful, since it has a better internet connection than 2g. It has a faster internet which will be useful in case of any emergencies. This would attract a lot of businessmen which would come in handy for them so if they need to do any last minute updates and also for higher education student if they need also check for any updates from their university or college for coursework or exams etc.
What techniques do you use to get your consumers opinion?
We were wondering what they did to keep their consumers satisfy.
We use different techniques to get our consumers attention such as submitting surveys, to get an idea of what consumers may like or dislike, and ways to improve our service. We email them surveys with multiple choice options, post surveys or questionnaires to their addresses and give them a certain amount of time to post their answers back. We also ring them to see if they have any spare time to answer our questions. A few of our employees also hand out information leaflets and surveys on local streets. The technique that had the most feedback was the postal questionnaire and surveys.
What does your product have to offer?
We wanted to know what the company thought made the product stand out from other companies products.
The product offers a more modern use of technology that is also helpful to the consumer, for example the use of the map application, using the internet on your mobile phone, rather than your PC at home. Therefore, you have internet on the go. The map can locate your current location and give directions, which is especially helpful in the case of being lost. The use of the internet is useful in the consumer’s daily life, as they may need to check train times for example, or check their email. This mobile phone also allows you to download music and watch videos online. The mobile phone is no longer just a mobile phone, but more than that. Technology has pushed it towards a new level.
How would you inform potential consumers of your product?
We wanted to find out how they kept their consumers informed.
We could ask other websites to advertise our site, connect our website to Facebook, and do commercials on Television. A Facebook group could be created where members could join and be readily informed about the product.
How would you keep consumers up to date on offers on your product?
We wanted to know how the company would inform their consumers frequently.
Subscription to our website is a start. We would create a Twitter account so consumers could become followers and we would use hash tags to make it easier to be informed about new ideas. Daily updates on the Facebook status of our group and daily tweets on Twitter would keep consumers very informed, as we aim to please.
How does GPS operate within the mobile phone, could you explain to us briefly?
We were wondering how GPS operates in mobile phones.
GPS stands for Global Positioning Systems. It’s all about locating where the phone is anywhere on earth. GPS contain maps which helps us locate the phone. This is done by “calculating the triangulated intersection points of a number of satellite signal spheres” entered on a particular satellite – referenced Geoffrey Elliot and Nigel Phillips, Mobile commerce and wireless computing systems.
Wouldn’t you think this service would create a little bit of a trouble in the world?
We wanted to find out how well the project was deliberated ethic wise.
People may see it as a human tracking device and may get insecure about it, but the truth is it is like a human tracking device. We are for it, as it is useful in the safety of our customers. For example, parents will be able to know where there children really are and this ensures their safety. If there is a car crash in the middle of nowhere, we will be able to locate at least one person’s phone, in the event of this emergency.
Could you tell us briefly, how WAP operates within the mobile phone?
We wanted to know how internet worked within the mobile phones.
‘’Well first of all WAP is a broadly used and accepted protocol standard structured to allow various types of wireless devices to communicate and access the internet’’- referenced by Geoffrey Elliot and Nigel Phillips, Mobile commerce and wireless computing systems. WAP allows the user to access information on the internet, when convenient, at any time, in any location.
Use Case – M2U required system
M2U have come to the conclusion that the analysts need to specify a system which will enable mobile phone users to locate their friends, relatives and other familiars. This service will also let them get to the person using the guidance software application. The system should also tell about the nearest restaurant, hotel or bus/train station etc. The mobile user needs to switch this service on in order for everyone to see her/his location. It’s required that the user of this service has the opportunity to allow or restrict his/her appearance to certain people.

Use case story (Marsha)
Laura was new to Kingston, and therefore didn’t know her way around. One day when she was very hungry she decided she would go to McDonalds for some food. However, she did not know how to get there so she decided to use the map service on her mobile phone. Laura clicked on the map icon on her mobile phone which enabled a map to be seen. She then entered her required destination, and waited for the location she requested to be displayed. The location was displayed as a map and the route was highlighted and also displayed the exact amount of distance to travel. She then followed the map and eventually found McDonalds.

Use case story (Nafisah)
Natalie and some of her friends went sit seeing around London and they all split because they wanted to look at different places around London but they had such little time so luckily they all had GPS on their phones and so they added each other so they can later on locate where they were if they didn’t know themselves. Later on Natalie’s friends could not locate where she was because her visibility was not on and they also had no signal so they could not ring her either so they called from a phone box and asked her where she was and had no idea where she had ended up and they asked do you have your visibility on and she said yes and she checked and she realised she didn’t she accidentally must off turned it off and then finally her friends were able to locate her and they realised she was only 100 yards away from each other and so they found each other and had a good laugh about it and could not believe it after stressing over each other.
