Ryanair watches the download speed on their website because if the web page took very long to open, many of ryanair pass ticket bookers may forget about booking with ryanair and book with another airline instead.
Ryanair uses email links on their webpage so that they can email information on any offers on flights or flight information to the user. The feature on this website is also good to use if the user wants to send and email directly to ryanair.
Ryanair uses the login registration process on their website because some of the pages maybe confidential and contain people details, so before purchasing a flight ticket on the ryanair website you will have to input your address and your name.
Client needs
I have chosen to address on the target audience from the other 9 possible choices and how it has satisfied the client’s needs.
Ryanair has addressed their target audience on this website which are flight bookers. They did this on their website to show that it is a website for booking flight tickets by inserting a picture of an aeroplane and by using a catchy slogan to represent the whole of the site. This is one important feature of website creation as before you actually create a website you must think about who you will be aiming at the site at.
Task 2
Using HTML for creating websites maybe a lot harder than using a wizard tool to generate pages. The reason being is that first the user will have to know all the html codes, or what he wants to do may not work. The good thing about using html for websites is that first you won’t need to buy a web creation package as you can use notepad which is automatically installed on the operating system but with wizards you will need to purchase website creation such as dream weaver or FrontPage.
Using wizards to generate websites is a lot easier to use and all the tools are already there in front of your screen, all the user has to do is to click on the tool they want to use and drag it into the website creation box. The bad thing about using wizards to generate websites is that when you are uploading your site to some internet hosting services they only support html extension files and don’t FrontPage extension files.
When creating websites using html the traffic on the created website maybe a lot faster than when creating a website using FrontPage. Some web domain don’t like people using FrontPage to create the website and prefer people using just html so they limit the number of pictures or pages you can put onto their web service if you had used FrontPage, but if you have used html they won’t be to strict on the size amount you can upload but they would be a restriction amount.
Overall the best solution for creating professional websites would probably be html. Even though the thinking of the codes is hard compared to the drag and drop of the wizards there are more advantages than disadvantages when uploading it to a web domain.
Using wizard tools to create website maybe easy but there are more disadvantages to advantages when uploading to a web domain as mention early above many web domain services don’t like seeing FrontPage extension files and restrict size amount if the website is created with FrontPage.
I think that the wizard tool for creating websites is for the lazy people who don’t want to think about the technical path of website creation and stay on the basics of web site creation, but overall the best solution I would prefer to go for when creating my next website would definitely be HTML.
