The film “Jaws” was an instant blockbuster and today is still one of the highest grossing films. “Jaws” is an example of a film done in the classical Narrative structure. This is so because it has the three basic elements of the classical structure: setup, confrontation and resolution.

     Steven Spielberg directed this classic film that became one of the most enduring action suspense films of all time. Jaws was an instant blockbuster, a phenomenon and today is still among the highest, one of the grossing films in motion picture history acclaimed by critics and audiences alike.

     The film ‘Jaws’ is about a chief Brody, who moves to Amity Island, a summer beach town, from New York. During his first summer, Brody is faced with shark attack. His first reaction is to close the beaches but the mayor would not let him do that. The setup of this film occurs at the beginning when the first victim of the shark is taken. A girl is swimming in the ocean and the shark attacks.
