After we entered the main gate, a working personnel came and showed us to the bus station. This kind of bus is said to better solve the problem of pollution of tail gas to the environment of the scenic spot. Soon the bus started and a lovely Tibetan girl, served as a guide, began to introduce Jiuzhaigou to the passengers. I learnt from her that Jiuzhaigou was listed into the world Natural Heritage Catalog in1992, approved as a man-and-biosphere reserve in the world in 1997, and awarded the certificate of Sustainable 21st Century Tourism in 2001.
The main scenic spots in Jiuzhaigou are distributed in the three gullies-Shuzheng, Rize and Zechawa, and the scenic area in the gullies can be divided into 5 zones. We first came to the Scenic Zone of Treasured Mirror Cliff, which is located in the lower part of Shuzheng gully. There, we saw the dreamlike Reed Lake, Zharu Tibetan Temple, and Botted-landscape Lake. Compared with other zones, it is especially tranquil and serene, poetic and picturesque.
Next we came to the Scenic Zone of Rize, which is said to be the cream of Jiuzhaigou. The colorful lakes, flowing waters are combing the green leaves and water grass, the waterfalls like silver screens are expressing themselves most unscrupulously. Two of the scenic spots, five-color lake and Pearl-shoal waterfall impressed me most. Seen from a higher position, the colored ribbon through the center of the lake looks quite like a peacock, so people give five-colored lake another name- Peacock Lake. Standing below the Pearl-shoal waterfall, you can feel soft winds swaying the buddhist streams, the tops of the trees, and your heart as free as the flowing water.
Because of limited time, we only visited the Scenic Zone of Primitive Forests in the bus. It is composed of Swan Lake, Grass Lake, Sword-rock Spring and Primitive Forests. Seeing from the window, we couldn’t find any distinction of this scenic zone.
As it’s getting dark, we hurried to visit the Scenic Zone of Changhai and Scenic Zone of Shuzheng. They are all very attractive and beyond description. But it’s a pity we didn’t have enough time to enjoy this earthly paradise
When we came out of this paradise, we agreed to visit it again next autumn. At that time, we can see the most beautiful sceneries created by nature before our eyes: the colorful leaves and forests are reflected on the bright and clear lakes and fallen leaves are floating on the surface of water…
