Text D is an informative web page published in 2011, named ‘National Fatherhood Initiative’. It was mainly designed for fathers in America with educational purposes. This text provides knowledge towards fathers on how ‘to improve the well-being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible and committed fathers’. Fatherhood Admin posted this information on Thursday, April 12th. Titled ‘Are you trying to rob your kids?’ 

The whole web pages idea is based on doing a scene that includes a father and his 15-year-old daughter in the ‘First National bank’. Targeting fathers with a playscript, which brings in the entertainment since reading a full block of plain text is tiresome. However, this text engages with the reader, which helps to convey the point  about fathers should be more emotionally involved with their daughters. One of the examples being when the father states “...but, my wife has been making lots of deposits.” This sentence indicates that the father is thinking that he has invested the same level of emotion towards his daughter as her mother (his wife). He then proceeds to say “....Since we are married, can’t I just make a withdrawal from her account?” The repeated use of the ‘marriages’ title possibly specifies the fathers reliability on the connection through the mother, which exactly shows the purpose of this text.

The choice of bold text directs the reader towards critical information as seen in  the second subheading ‘Are you trying to rob your kids?’. This statement is used to grab the reader’s attention and hook them into reading more into the article. We can also see the author's main audience shown on the top of the article. The organisation's name verifies the idea that it is targeted towards fathers; leading off of the targeted audience. The author ties a relationship with the reader to the scenario by labelling the two speakers of dialogue as ‘You’ and ‘Your Daughter’ making ...
