Unsur-unsur utama dalam Falsafah Pendidikan Kebangsaan dan Implikasinya kepada jati diri seorang guru. Istilah falsafah berasal daripada dua perkataan Yunani iaitu philos dan sophia. Philos bermaksud mencintai manakala Sophia pula bermaksud kebijaksaan. Kesimpulan yang dapat dibuat daripada makna kepada dua perkataan ini adalah, falsafah dapat diertikan sebagai perihal mencintai kebijaksanaan. Menurut Russell (1946), falsafah adalah diertikan sebagai sesuatu fahaman atau pengertian di antara teologi dan sains. Seperti teologi, falsafah mengandungi spekulasi terhadap pekara yang belum tepat dibuktikan. Manakala dalam pendekatan sains, falsafah pula berusaha menggunakan taakulan dan logic untuk membuktikan fahamannya. E.D. Miller juga turut menyatakan pendapat beliau mengenai falsafah dalam bukunya Questions That Matter (1984). Menurut beliau, falsafah boleh ditakrifkan sebagai usaha untuk berfikir secara rasional dan kritis terhadap pekara-pekara yang penting mengenai pendidikan. Sharifah Alwiah Alsagoff dalam buku beliau Falsafah Pendidikan (1984) member tafsiran falsafah dengan lebih lengkap, iaitu: . Falsafah adalah pertimbangan asas dan andaian mengenai pertimbangan terhadap pekara yang penting. 2. Falsafah mempersoalkan prinsip-prinsip realiti, ilmu dan nilai. 3. Falsafah cenderung mengumpulkan rumusannya kepada bentuk mazhab-mazhab atau sistem-sistem pemikiran.

The excerpt is taken from the passage where Douglas Cheeseman, a structural engineer contemplates the craftsmanship and surroundings of the bridge. The first thing we can say about this text is the importance of lexical fields. Indeed, by looking at the excerpt's word cloud and by connecting words with the same connotations, we end up with four lexical fields. Very often there is a very negative stereotype going around about skateboarders, the stereotype is that skateboarders are bad people. That criticism is mostly aimed at the younger skateboarders. There are a countless older people think that younger skaters are out to cause trouble. In some places skateboarding is illegal and you can get fined or even arrested. On the other hand it can be very noisy, annoying and sometimes slightly destructive. Fair enough some skateboarders do cause trouble, most of the time the trouble is caused by boredom. They get bored because they do not actually have a place to skate that they do not get kicked off of. The amount of local skate parks is insufficient. The amount of skate parks around the Bournemouth area few and that is probably the main reason for the stereotype that is going around. The majority of the time the skateboarders get bored and they cause trouble. After that it is not long until the word goes round that skateboarders are bad people. . OVERVIEW Bill Gates once said "if I was down to my last dollar, I'd spend it on public relations". Such a statement, particularly from an entrepreneur so renowned in the business arena, is no doubt a sparkling endorsement for the industry. Regardless, it is only after two internships with Verve Communications in 2009 and the Sydney Kings in 2010 that I feel I have gathered the understanding and experience to realise how poignant such a declaration is - arguably even more so in a fledgling economic climate. In the following report, while focusing primarily on The Sydney Kings resurrection, I will draw on the knowledge gained and lessons learned in the first few weeks of my internship in 2010. In doing so, I will consider how both theoretical and practical elements of the BA Communications (Public Relations) degree have impacted upon and assisted me during my experience at the Kings. Is Space Exploration Morally Justified? Columbia Space shuttle On February the first, 2003, the Columbia space shuttle broke up as it re-entered the earth's atmosphere. The astronauts onboard the shuttle all tragically died. The accident left people wandering if mankind's urge to explore and need to understand has gone too far or is the Columbia Space shuttle crash just a set back in the long and ever ambitious programme for space exploration? What happened to the seven astronauts on the Columbia space shuttle is a tragedy. However, I am not someone who believes that we were destined to explore space and I believe it has nothing to do with fate and even if it were destined that mankind is to become a space exploring race, then a strategy would not involve active participation in accomplishing that fate. We should continue to explore space as we have gained a substantial amount of useful information and will continue to which may affect the way we live our lives. Some people believe that space exploration is too dangerous. The technology is relatively untested and should be examined to a closer degree to stop disasters such as the Columbia space shuttle from happening.
