Standard Operating Procedures (Sop) recruitment policies and procedures.

STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOP) RECRUITMENT RECRUITMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES I. FILING OF VACANCIES When a recruitment request is received, a GG-1(s) must be prepared and properly authenticated for the vacancy(s) to be filled. Upon GG-1 clearance, the first step is to determine the availability of candidates (i.e., existing eligibility list) or the need to post a job announcement. If there is a sufficient list of eligible for the type of recruitment (i.e. open, government, or departmental) and for the position to be filled, then immediate certification for selection interview is the proper next step. Otherwise, a job announcement must be prepared and posted. II. ANNOUNCEMENTS: A) Announcement of positions is based on the following reasons: • Insufficient eligible (less than 5 names/10 for Labor & Custodial); • Recruitment difficulties; • High turnover rates; • Departmental and Government-Wide Consideration (Pool of candidates consists of permanent classified employees either from within the department or from within the Government of Guam.) • Known Promotion Potential (KPP); 2) Prepare announcements in the proper format and post and disseminate to all government of Guam departments, agencies and to the private sectors and other non-profit organizations to ensure that announcements reach all segments of the population in order to

Punk Rock Music Club Business Coursework

Identification Introduction I am going to create a database for a music club called the 'Punk Rock Music Club'. The word database means a collection of information that is organised as a list. A database that is stored on a computer is much more flexible and useful than a simple list that is kept on a piece of paper because it can be sorted, manipulated and printed without the need of re-input (re-written). I intend to create a database by using Microsoft Access. In Access, a database consists of tables. The tables are linked by their relationships to one another. The word table means a place where you store information related to a specific part of your work. 'Punk Rock Music Club' The 'Punk Rock Music Club' offers a wide variety of punk rock music. CD's, tapes and even mini discs can be borrowed. This club works the same as any other music or movie rental club e.g. Blockbuster movie rentals. Up to 5 items can be borrowed at a time. First, you have to be a member. Each member has his/hers own private movie rental card with his/hers own personal club member code. The problem The club has been recently using Microsoft Excel to create databases. Excel is an effective database package but it lacks flexibility. The information can be viewed but not very easily. The Excel package is unreliable. I intend to solve this problem by creating databases using Microsoft Access.

ICT Security Report

SECURITY INTRODUCTION In this day an age with many companies and well-known organisations functioning online as well as in many towns and cities. In order to attract and gain customers to accumulate business they must try and obtain their customer's confidence and trust. They try to do this by demonstrating that they take such dangers to data security incredibly seriously. Throughout this report I will identify and break down numerous threats and discuss methods by which these online associations can protect themselves from these data security threats. As of the 22nd August 2008 the number of breaches through this current stands at a total of 449. This is considered to be a rather small number compared to the number business, governmental, health, banking and educational entities that have databases. Though this has surpassed the total taken from 2007, which were 446. Although, the number has not increased by a huge amount we can still observe that identity theft continues to rise year by year. As an example, the transactional website I studied, Play.com hold a variety of information about myself such as my name and address and then my card details which I would use to pay for the items. For this to be held by the company you must believe that the site is incredibly safe and that you have great confidence with buying with this company. INTERNAL THREATS There are a

Capital Radio

Capital Radio Capital Radio use I.C.T to promote their business online. They also use a lot of technology in their studio, for example to organise their play list of songs, to organise jingles and advert times. In the Advertising department they use ICT to listen to adverts to see if the adverts that are going to be used are ok to put on air. The Dj's in the Studio have there own account on the computer in the Studio so they can read the emails the listeners have sent. One of the most important things they use is a huge machine that can hold one of the biggest record collections In the world, This makes the Dj,s job easier to select songs for the listeners who want them. So they use ICT for that as well. ICT is important to Capital because every person who works there has their own computer so when they work it is less time consuming. Capital Radio uses ICT to record people's interviews/demos of songs in their studio. The new generation of radio (DAB) has made Capital radio use ICT to make their station and owned stations to sound better. A very important thing to Capital Radio are their share holders. They use ICT so that they can show if their shares go up or go down, on the internet. They use ICT on their website to give people news updates, Music news, and Company info. They allow people to post their thoughts about the radio station and let people

Computer aided design (assignment 3) Background into assignment I have been asked by my company (Standard engineering components LTD) to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of purchasing some computer aided design software. The main points I need to find out are: - . If, and how the company will benefit from the software 2. If it will pay the company back from the initial out lay. Background into computer CAD software is commonly used for drafting architectural and engineering drawings and for making technical illustrations of any kind. For us, a professional company associated with design and drafting then CAD applications is a must in this day and age. CAD enables you to prepare fast and accurate drawings. It provides flexibility to change drawings with minimal effort. In recent years, most large companies have made the switch to CAD to enjoy the benefits of this precise and creative tool. Hardware and Network issues in e-commerce

Hardware and Network issues in e-commerce Introduction This review will discuss the issues and outline some future developments related to the three most prominent forms of network technology, broadband, m-commerce and wireless broadband. What is broadband? A good definition of broadband is: "Broadband refers to any communication technology that permits clients to play streaming video and audio files at acceptable speeds - generally anything above 100 Kbps" (Laudon and Traver, 2002). Typically, broadband is characterised by very high upload and download speeds and most interestingly it is an 'always-on' technology as opposed to narrowband where the user has to 'dial-up' to the server every time they begin a new session on the internet, whereas with broadband the user simply has to click on the internet icon on their desktop and they are instantly linked to home page of their choice. Types of broadband There are many types of broadband access available to the internet user. The most commonly used type of broadband connections made by the general consumer is via cable modem and DSL connections. Cable Modem is usually used by consumers who cannot get DSL connections in their area or who live in a cabled area and is characterised as a shared network service. Internet connection is 'piggybacked' on the television signal received by consumers who have cable television. It

Case Study-PGD

ANALYSE Software I have chosen to use the database software to solve the problem. There are two different database software packages. These are Microsoft Access and Microsoft Works database. Both packages are available to my access but I have chosen to use Microsoft Access and this would allow me to implement all the user requirements. Access is also a relational database which will make it easier to link all the tables in the database. Hardware The hardware required for the system is: * Monitor- To allow the user to see whatever is happening. * Mouse- To allow the user to interact with the monitor. * Keyboard- To allow the user to input any data. * Printer-To print all reports and forms. Data Input The user would have to enter the following once the system has been set up: * The list of all the members with other necessary information such as member type and address. This would be obtained from the paper-based database. Each member would have a member ID which would uniquely identify them. * Details of all the activities available. The data would be Class ID, Class description, level, days, location and instructor. * Bookings by members would also be keyed in once the booking date has been confirmed. This information would be entered into the booking form which would be much easier for the user. Data such as MemberID, BookingID, ClassID, Date of Birth and

Looking at the population profiles of two possible locations for a theme park.

Theme Park assignment Task B I am now going on the Maidstone Council website, as one of my possible destinations, to see whether it is suitable i will look at things like population, average ages, unemployment and transport. On this website I will use the menus and navigation bars and an internal search of their online database to get the research that I need. This is the Economics of Maidstone compared to the rest of England. Maidstone England and Wales Employed 66.3 60.6 Unemployed 2.2 3.4 Economically active full time students 2.4 2.6 Retired 3.5 3.6 On the Maidstone council website i found out about how you can get around in Maidstone. The second Area that I am studying as a possible destination is stoke on Trent These are the planning details for both stoke-on-Trent and Maidstone. From these statistics about both Maidstone and Stoke-on-Trent there are a lot of conclusions that can be drawn up. Looking at the population and gender first I personally think that men are more likely to visit a theme park than women and that the key age group that a theme park is aimed at is from 10 to 35 years of age. From the pyramids and table both Maidstone and stoke-On-Trent have more females than males how ever in stoke-on-Trent there are many more people of the age group, 10 - 35. Also in stoke-on-Trent there are nearly double the amount of people overall.
