STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOP) RECRUITMENT RECRUITMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES I. FILING OF VACANCIES When a recruitment request is received, a GG-1(s) must be prepared and properly authenticated for the vacancy(s) to be filled. Upon GG-1 clearance, the first step is to determine the availability of candidates (i.e., existing eligibility list) or the need to post a job announcement. If there is a sufficient list of eligible for the type of recruitment (i.e. open, government, or departmental) and for the position to be filled, then immediate certification for selection interview is the proper next step. Otherwise, a job announcement must be prepared and posted. II. Identification Introduction I am going to create a database for a music club called the 'Punk Rock Music Club'. The word database means a collection of information that is organised as a list. A database that is stored on a computer is much more flexible and useful than a simple list that is kept on a piece of paper because it can be sorted, manipulated and printed without the need of re-input (re-written). I intend to create a database by using Microsoft Access. In Access, a database consists of tables. The tables are linked by their relationships to one another. The word table means a place where you store information related to a specific part of your work. 'Punk Rock Music Club' The 'Punk Rock Music Club' offers a wide variety of punk rock music. CD's, tapes and even mini discs can be borrowed. This club works the same as any other music or movie rental club e.g. Blockbuster movie rentals. Up to 5 items can be borrowed at a time. First, you have to be a member. Each member has his/hers own private movie rental card with his/hers own personal club member code. The problem The club has been recently using Microsoft Excel to create databases. Excel is an effective database package but it lacks flexibility. The information can be viewed but not very easily. The Excel package is unreliable. I intend to solve this problem by creating databases using Microsoft Access.

SECURITY INTRODUCTION In this day an age with many companies and well-known organisations functioning online as well as in many towns and cities. In order to attract and gain customers to accumulate business they must try and obtain their customer's confidence and trust. They try to do this by demonstrating that they take such dangers to data security incredibly seriously. Throughout this report I will identify and break down numerous threats and discuss methods by which these online associations can protect themselves from these data security threats. As of the 22nd August 2008 the number of breaches through this current stands at a total of 449. This is considered to be a rather small number compared to the number business, governmental, health, banking and educational entities that have databases. Though this has surpassed the total taken from 2007, which were 446. Although, the number has not increased by a huge amount we can still observe that identity theft continues to rise year by year. As an example, the transactional website I studied, Play.com hold a variety of information about myself such as my name and address and then my card details which I would use to pay for the items. Capital Radio Capital Radio use I.C.T to promote their business online. They also use a lot of technology in their studio, for example to organise their play list of songs, to organise jingles and advert times. In the Advertising department they use ICT to listen to adverts to see if the adverts that are going to be used are ok to put on air. The Dj's in the Studio have there own account on the computer in the Studio so they can read the emails the listeners have sent. One of the most important things they use is a huge machine that can hold one of the biggest record collections In the world, This makes the Dj,s job easier to select songs for the listeners who want them. So they use ICT for that as well. ICT is important to Capital because every person who works there has their own computer so when they work it is less time consuming. ANALYSE Software I have chosen to use the database software to solve the problem. There are two different database software packages. These are Microsoft Access and Microsoft Works database. Both packages are available to my access but I have chosen to use Microsoft Access and this would allow me to implement all the user requirements. Access is also a relational database which will make it easier to link all the tables in the database. Hardware The hardware required for the system is: * Monitor- To allow the user to see whatever is happening. * Mouse- To allow the user to interact with the monitor. * Keyboard- To allow the user to input any data. * Printer-To print all reports and forms. Data Input The user would have to enter the following once the system has been set up: * The list of all the members with other necessary information such as member type and address. Looking at the population and gender first I personally think that men are more likely to visit a theme park than women and that the key age group that a theme park is aimed at is from 10 to 35 years of age. From the pyramids and table both Maidstone and stoke-On-Trent have more females than males how ever in stoke-on-Trent there are many more people of the age group, 10 - 35. Also in stoke-on-Trent there are nearly double the amount of people overall.
