With our intellect, we have created vaccines, antibiotics, and drugs that have helped us survive and prevent illnesses. Using all the technology that we humans have accumulated over the years many scientists have created vaccines. Vaccines are made with weakened or dead microbes that cause the disease; these inoculators stimulate the immune system to produce proteins that will fight off the disease. Therefore, with this medicine, anytime a virus or disease is contagious a vaccine can be injected into a person to prevent harmful diseases. An antibiotic is another type of medicine that is used to prevent diseases, and deaths. Antibiotics are toxic chemical compounds used to kill or inhibit the growth of infectious diseases. Since antibiotics have a certain level of toxicity, they kill the disease usually without causing the death of a human. Antibiotics have been used to prevent many harmful diseases such as gonorrhea, scarlet fever, and severe sore throat. Drugs have been another great creation. The drugs that the Food and Drug Administration have allowed to be used by the public have prevented harsh diseases from developing. If we would not have drugs like Tylenol, we could suffer irreversible brain damages. Drugs help with our everyday need because they are versatile and effective. Our ever-growing technologies have made drugs be minuscule, and this has helped humans because taking them are not painful.

Using technology and medicines, we humans have proficiently accomplished the ability to cure diseases with surgical procedures. Surgery is the process in which surgeons, use tools and examinations to untimely cure diseases. The greatest example of curing a disease would be cancer surgery. Since cancer is a deadly disease, one possible way to survive is by having surgery. Cancer is a tumor that grows on a healthy tissue of the body. Therefore, the tumor that is attached to the tissue must be removed manually through surgery. When the tumor has been removed, usually the patient is healthy. Surgery has also been used to cure birth defects, and for transplanting new hearts to humans. The surgery process is precise, and when the surgeons deal with the human heart, the surgery will take weeks to be performed on the patient. What is definitely astounding is the process in which the heart is manually transplanted into the patient that needs the heart. In the human body, if the heart is impaired or not functional we would eventually die. Therefore, the greatness of heart surgery is that we are helping humans survive.

Having a brain and many qualities that we ourselves have no explanation too, has helped the human race become the most dominant. We humans are intellectuals that should be proud of the attributes that were passed on from generations to generations. Therefore, the human race should keep on improving on what we now have, because if we keep on being pessimistic, we will never be optimistic.
