explain ways in which the societies are held together through common cultures but are also unequal and divided.

Two different countries, located 4200 miles apart, may seem a lot different but the United Kingdom (UK) and the Dominican Republic (DR) share many similarities also. This essay will explore what contemporary issues divides these countries apart, causing exploitation and conflict, and what holds them together through shared culture, creating stability and conformity with focus on macrosociology (the analysis of government institutions and larger social systems).
