They also do other activities such as selling goods like:

  • Electrical including TV’s, camera’s washers etc.
  • Flowers
  • Video games
  • Wine
  • Music
  • Personal finance (loans, credit cards savings and insurance).

This is a map of the Roundhay area where Tesco is situated and is where most of the customers come from.

Its aims and objectives

Their plans and objectives are to provide approximately ten million customers every week and it is their undertaking to ensure every single one of them receives unbeatable customer service, as well as exceptional value.

Their aim is also to ensure their customers enjoy shopping with them and can rely upon them to deliver consistently high standards of customer care. They also have trained customer service representatives in every one of their stores who will be happy to help deal with any queries or comments that the customers may have. They aims are as well to attract new customers by trying new things and to increase their market share. Their aims are also to make a profit and to keep all their shareholders and stakeholders as happy and as satisfied as possible and to pay all the dividends.

Besides the main aims and objectives of Tesco they have other activities like providing charitable or voluntary services by setting up fund raisers within the supermarket and giving away free computers for local schools. They also try to be environmentally friendly by having places to recycle your bottles on in the car park and by putting recycling messages on there bags.
