First of all we would like to outline all the main problems that were seen at the corporate identity of the Allied Irish Bank

Marketing of Financial Services Allied Irish Banks May 10, 2007 First of all we would like to outline all the main problems that were seen at the corporate identity of the Allied Irish Bank. There were a few problems in the corporate identity of the company such as the workers were not playing in the same team, the name of the company was not always an advantage to be used, the logo of the company and the color was not the best choice either, problems were arising from the cultural differences and the company building was not looking the way it should. There were internal conflicts at the company and the workers were not playing in the same team. Workers were from different cultures and companies and they were not getting along with each other for this reason. This was very bad for the company because the least the workers should do is to get along with each other. An other problem was that for the same reasons, the head offices and the branches were not getting along with each other either. In this situation it is impossible to run a profitable business. 'The workers were not playing in the same team' meaning that they did not help each other's jobs, but instead made it harder for the other to do what he is suppose to do. There were problems with the name of the company as well. The parent company is called Allied Irish Banks PLC, and the principal operating

A Business Analysis of the Boject Oriented Hypermedia Design Model

A Business Analysis of the Object Oriented Hypermedia Design Model This discourse will provide a brief overview of the Object Oriented Hypermedia design model and the four-step process involved in the development of the model. This section will provide an explanation for each step in the process. Then we will discuss the past, present and future business uses of the model. This will explore the importance of the model in business applications that are conducted through the Internet. We will also provide details about the compatibility of the model and compare the model to similar applications such as HDM and OOHM. Finally, we will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the model. Including that navigational design of the model and the costly overhead and training involved in implementing the application. There will be several types of sources used during the course of this discussion. Most of these sources will be essays and articles written by Rossi and Schwabe who invented the Object Oriented Hypermedia Design Method. In addition there will be a myriad of article written by computer programming specialists and researchers. Brief overview of the Object Oriented Hypermedia Design Model The Object Oriented Hypermedia Design Model uses "abstraction and composition devices in an object oriented framework to allow a concise description of complex information items, and on

Development or Modifications to Final Ideas

Development/Modifications Logo: User's Comments: I feel that the grass in the background of the logo and the wavy grass design under the football have been used effectively to the extent that it shows a lot of activities to be available at the leisure centre. As can be seen from this image I have edited the logo using the graphic software: 'Macromedia Fireworks' and 'Adobe Photoshop'. From the previous design I have replaced the wavy blue design with a wavy grass design directly under the ball. This is because it helps to represent the grass image effectively, so it helps to convey that a wide variety of activities are available. This is because grass is associated with sporting activities so this image idea is immediately thought of by the user. Also this helps to make it more relevant to the leisure centre, so I have also added grass to the background of this logo for these very two purposes. Also the main part of the logo has been modified using the graphics software. For example I have added an inner bevel as well as a shadow to make it look more realistic and stand out more. Also I have modified it to add an orange glow around the main part of the logo. This is because orange is a complimentary colour of blue so by using the blue and the orange next to each other they work very well together and as a result will help to attract more attention to the logo itself.

Design Evaluation

Design evaluation In this design graphics project we were asked to create a fitness pack for an Olympic sport and my chosen sport was boxing. My task was to create a new more dynamic packaging with relevant graphics. In this project in addition to my fitness pack, one product I will include is a t-shirt which I will design and create. The build up to the creation of my fitness pack: During the first few weeks of the project I had to first create a brand for my product and the 'company' it was made by. So instead of thinking of company names I used branding through a logo. So I created a variety of picture and text logos and I chose the best out of those which is the image below. Then there came the actual packaging and for this creation task I made several scaled and to scale prototype models to note and record all the advantages and disadvantages of the product and how to improve on those. Problems I encountered in this project: When designing my original model I had the idea of having my top and bottom connected by a single hinge at the bottom of the pack then having a hand slot at the top. Unfortunately this was impractical because then all my items inside would fall to the bottom f the pack whilst being carried and would easily damage or broke the hinge. Also when my packaging was being constructed, sharp or steep turning points in the design would cause a problem

Advertising Center Parcs.

* 2 leaves in the shape of bird in flight * Is based in the corner of the brochure * 2 different shades of green * 'Center' is spelt the American way * 'Parcs' is spelt the French way * The font is quite bold * Could easily catch your eye * Good contrasting of colours with the 2 shades of green and the navy blue writing * Its really neat and quite bright and colourful * Tells you that the park is quite a multi-racial environment * Symbolises freedom The purpose of advertising is to promote different holiday companies and a variety of holidays to go on. Adverts are promoted on the radio, television shows, newspapers, brochures, leaflets, Internet and magazines. The problem with companies advertising on the radio is that they promote the positive things and not the negative things but if you were a company trying to sell a holiday you wouldn't advertise the bad things about the company. Holiday companies promote their holidays through newspapers, magazines, television, radio and a lot more such as through the Internet, leaflets and brochures. When holiday companies promulgate they use interesting colours, fonts and photographs. They usually show pictures of people enjoying themselves on the holiday and give us details of the scenery. In the television advert for the Center Parcs, a poem is used along with and many different captions. The brochure shows many

Designing a pond cost calculator to be used by Jo when she is calculating the cost of a customers pond that they are just about to buy from the Plant House Garden Centre.

Design for Task 3 For the design for task 2, as it says in the analysis I am designing a pond cost calculator to be used by Jo when she is calculating the cost of a customers pond that they are just about to buy from the Plant House Garden Centre. The first thing I will do to design this pond cost calculator will be to decide upon which software is wise to use. After I know which programs I will be using I shall then sketch out a few design ideas on paper for the layout of the calculator which will be sketched to fit in with what program I have decided to use. I shall then choose one of the design ideas and reveal why I have chosen that design idea, then I will go into explaining how I want the calculator to look by stating the text sizes, types and possible colours I will be using and why. When I know what the calculator is going to look like and how it will be laid out, I will then show how I am going to make this calculator on the program I have decided to use by expressing the features I will most likely be using on the program I have chosen, how they work and how I will exploit them. By doing that I will indicate how I will go about making the calculator and solving any eventual problems I might come across. I then shall write a paragraph or two on a making plan for the calculator, explaining in what order I will be making the calculator. Finally, after I have written

Producing a letterhead

Introduction In the following report I will be evaluating my Edge End High School letterhead. I produced my letterhead using the software application Serif Page Plus 8.0. I produced my letterhead A4 size, as this was the typical letterhead size. Along with my final letterhead, I shall also be evaluating 3 drafts which I produced and edited before I got my final letterhead. Content- Refer to Production of Documents| Appendices | Document 1: Letterhead: Pages 1-5 My first draft consists of both images and text. The main images drawn to my attention are: the school logo, this was also produced by me using again the software application Serif Page Plus 8.0. My logo consists of a circle, which contains an image of balance scales, and the letters EEHS. I chose a balance scale as it represented equality which is what every school should have as well as Edge End High School. Above the circle it reads Edge End and below the circle it reads High School. I found that the name of the school is a vital feature of a school logo, so I also decided that I should include it in my logo. I did not include any colour to my logo, as I found that it looked simple yet elegant without colour. Due to the fact that Edge End High School has four sponsors, I found that it would be necessary to place them on my letterhead, as it showed professionalism and would give the school a good image. After
