greatly. He is my father. We used to live in Egypt where my father was a cardiologist. On the contrary of him, I
wasn’t as responsible as my father. I used to think of myself only and never cared about anyone else. My father as a
cardiologist, his main job was caring about others and thinking of them before even himself.
Three months ago, we had the immigration papers for USA. We were facing a great decision. A decision that
would determine our future. It was that either my father sacrifices with his position or we would stay in Egypt so
that he could keep his job. But he as I said before, a person who always think of others and of other’s welfare.
The study in Egypt isn’t as good as in the United States. For me to study engineering in Egypt, after
graduation, the opportunities of having a good career are very low. My father was conscious that if he left his job in
Egypt, we wouldn’t be able to work in the same position of Egypt. In stead of all these things, his decision was to
leave all his work in Egypt and travel for the sake of my future. You can’t imagine how this decision changed me a
lot. I couldn’t imagine that there can be a person who can sacrifice with his life for anyone else even if this one was
his son. This decision was a turning point in my life. I completely changed from that point. I began to look for the
life with another view. I took more responsibility and I began to think more of other people. That really made me
feel more satisfied about myself than anytime ago.
From now on, I will never be a selfish as before or as any other person around me. You should always think
of a good person whom you can be like him so that you could be change for better.
