One day when Jack was eating his dinner (and watching TV) he grew a little tail. This was no ordinary tail someone might grow in extreme circumstances. This was and electric cord. Jack was scared that something might be wrong, but he was busy watching TV to worry about it too much. In the morning Jack had a little antenna sticking out of head. Once again Jack was busy watching TV so he spiked his hair and forgot about it.
When Jack went to school it started to rain. Lunchtime was spent inside the classroom; so he took the TV out from under his desk and sat down to watch it. There was bad reception in the classroom and Jack wasn’t too happy about that. TV was his only friend so all he could do when he had a break was watch TV. While Jack was staring at the blank TV he remembered the little antennas on his head. He pulled them out to their full length, and just like magic the TV started to work. Some children sat down to watch the TV too, but no one noticed Jack’s very own antenna.
On the way home Jack stopped at the TV store and started thinking about how many TVs he should buy when he has his own house. Four or Five? Or maybe one in every room? That was when these little dials and buttons appeared on his left arm. Again, he forgot all about it and thought about his future TV house.
When Jack got home he started on his homework. He couldn’t concentrate because the TV was off. Jack couldn’t find the remote anywhere so he used one of the buttons on his arm. Jack was amazed at his remote arm, now he didn’t have to waste time searching for a remote or put up with bad reception. He had forgotten all about his tail.
Jack’s mother called him for dinner but as usual Jack was too busy watching TV. So his mum had to record what she wanted to say. In the mean time Jack started to think about his antenna head, and remote arm and even his electric cord tail. His thoughts were interrupted when his feet turned into castors and his legs became a TV stand. Jack started to get worried now, so he turned to his TV but it wasn’t there!
Jack started to panic. He thought he had been robbed but he had only looked away for a few seconds. Jack went to the window to see if anyone was running away with the TV. The street was completely empty. Jack turned around and was about to go down for dinner when he could no longer move his feet. He was stuck.
Jack was about to scream for help when his body started to take the shape of a TV. His arm joined together and his left arm became the control panel on the TV and his head became an antenna sitting on top of the TV. Jack was terrified. He started to think about all the things he would miss out on because he’s a TV.
When Jack’s mother walked in with the tape she couldn’t see him. She searched the whole house, but there was no Jack. She went back to his room and found his TV unplugged. She put the power cord back in and turned it on. A message came up on the screen. It said that Jack had been watching so much TV and hadn’t been paying attention to what was going on, so he had turned into the TV and that she was watching him right then. This is what happens to people who watch too much TV. So now Jack is a TV and his parents leave him on every night.
This is a true story that happened to a friend of a friend of a friend of mine knew someone who loved to watch TV.
