How Does The Prologue Help In Our Understanding Of The Play Romeo And Juliet?

"Romeo and Juliet" was written by William Shakespeare in 1590 and are about the love, content and envy between two families. The play opens to a chorus, which introduces the 2 families, the Capulets and the Montague’s. Capulet organises a feast to introduce his daughter to Paris, Romeo then hears of the banquet and decides to attend with his friends. Benvolio decides to take Romeo to get over Rosaline and when Romeo meets Juliet they fall instantly in love to show Juliet how much he loves her following the party Romeo lingers at the house and talks to Juliet on her balconoe. They arrange to meet the next day at Friar Lawrence’s, where they marry following this Romeo gets involved in a fight with Tybalt and then kills him, for this Romeo is banished. Juliet is worried when Romeo is late and learns of the fight, she arranges for Romeo to stay at her home. Juliet’s wedding with Paris is brought forwards to the next day, so Friar Lawrence helps Juliet by giving her a sleeping draught. The next day the guests arrive to find that they believe Juliet is dead, Friar Lawrence sends a message to Romeo to collect his sleeping wife but Romeo doesn’t receive the message and having heard of Juliet’s death he buys some poison to kill himself. He returns to Juliet’s tomb and then he kills Paris and then himself using the poison he had purchased. Juliet awakens as Romeo dies and because she cannot live without him she stabs herself. The two families return to their children and create peace between the families.
