The sea was calm as I got into the warm water I could see some brightly coloured fish swimming beneath my feet. I waited to get used to the feel of all my scuba gear in the blue sparkling water I told the boat driver that I would be back within an hour.
I started to swim away, gently kicking my feet I could see the coral reef beneath me, I dived down towards the brightly coloured corals and fish.
There were hundreds of different types of rare coral so I decided to take some samples that I could study when I got back home. I was surrounded by hundreds of strange looking fish they were weaving and darting between the coral .the dive was proving highly successful so far until I saw a huge dark shadow deep beneath me , I wasn't sure what it was ,but I had a really bad feeling deep inside my chest the gigantic shadow was circling beneath me , I was starting to get extremely scared .
I wasn't sure what the shadow was until I realised that it was a shark, I didn't know what sort of shark it was until I saw a huge fin appear from the top if the sharks huge body then I realised hat it was a tiger shark, one of the worlds most deadly shark, it was circling slowly about twenty metres beneath me.
I looked towards the surface to see if I could see the boat, I swam towards the surface desperately kicking my flippers , I wasn't down that far but it seemed like miles because in the back of my head I knew that the shark would be chasing me, finally reached the surface ,the boat was nowhere to be seen.
I frantically scanned the horizon for any sign of the boat ,suddenly I saw it ,a small speck miles away from me I didn't know how I had managed to get that far away from the boat ...

I looked towards the surface to see if I could see the boat, I swam towards the surface desperately kicking my flippers , I wasn't down that far but it seemed like miles because in the back of my head I knew that the shark would be chasing me, finally reached the surface ,the boat was nowhere to be seen.
I frantically scanned the horizon for any sign of the boat ,suddenly I saw it ,a small speck miles away from me I didn't know how I had managed to get that far away from the boat but I knew I had two get back.
I didn't know what to do; I had to get out of the water,
There was nowhere too go, I started to swim towards to the boat as I peered down into the sea I could se the shark rising slowly towards me ,I glanced up to see if the boat was still there thankfully it was. I started to relax I thought everything as going to be ok, I looked down into the water and I was alarmed to see that the shark had closed the distance between us by half, then all of a sudden it started to swim straight towards me, there was nothing I could do, the shark was coming right at me, getting closer and closer, second by second. It reached me; suddenly it turned swiftly towards my left just brushing my air tanks.
I thought the shark was going to attack me , I thought I was going to die, then out of the corner of my eye I saw the distinctive fin heading my way, I felt a powerful thud against my legs , I immediately knew that they were broken , I screamed out in pain ,but no sound came out ,just bubbles, I was in agony ,sharp shooting pains started to come up my body from my shins , I couldn't feel anything in my feet It was as if thy weren't attached to my body, at this point I didn't know where the shark was but I knew that it would be back to finish the job it had started .
I saw the shark coming at me again , its mouth wide open ,a deep black hole, the sharks jaw clamped down around my side catching and piercing my air tanks, the waster around me was turning red wit blood , I had to get away, there was no way I would be able to pull myself away from the sharks grip.
Its teeth were digging in to my stomach, it started to pull me down, deeper into the sea, I had been taken past the coral reef, but there weren't any of the brightly coloured fish that were swimming around earlier when I had started m y dream dive that had turned into a nightmare.
I could feel my lungs getting weaker, my head getting lighter I was feeling faint, my life slipping away .I couldn't feel the raging pain through my body anymore.
Then something made the ain come back as if to remind me that it was still there ,this gave the determination to live I desperately grabbed at the sharks eyes trying to gouge them with my hands, by this point the shark must of thought it would be having a great feast courtesy of me, I wasn't going g to die today ,not like this, all of a sudden the shark let go, I didn't know why or how it happened, all I knew was that I was free and I had to get out of the water, I started swimming back towards the surface, I saw the sunlight cutting into the dark red water, I couldn't remember how long ago I had started the dive but it seemed like hours.
I finally broke the surface and took in long deep gulps of air, I could feel my lungs relaxing but the pain was still raging through my body, I looked around to see any sign of the boat and to my relief it was close I shouted at the driver then I passed out.
