facing Germany?

Germany was facing a lot of problems after the treaty of Versailles like hyperinflation, Germany couldn’t pay the reparations which led to hyperinflation. The French were occupying the Ruhr, one of the main industrial areas of Germany. Germany was not trusted by other countries because of the blame given to Germany after WWII and Germany also needing to rebuild their economy. In 1923 Gustav Stresemann became Chancellor. He tried to solve all these problems. Some historians thought he didn’t solve the problems he just ‘papered over the cracks’ and others thought that he built a new Germany. In this essay I will look at whether he succeeded in solving the problems facing Germany.

        Germany was running out of money because of Passive resistance the workers were paid to do nothing because they were paid to do nothing and the French were in control of the Ruhr Germany could not make any money out of selling goods which led to Germany running out of money which led to them printing more money and soon the money became useless and there was Hyperinflation. Stresemann set up a new currency. He got rid of passive resistance and made the French leave the Ruhr by promising to pay reparations. Germany was blamed for starting the war ...
