In my opinion this was the biggest influence to Hitler’s rise to power, because all the causes on the list used Hitler’s oratory, personality and leadership skills.
Hitler’s oratory and personality came in to use most in the Munich Putsch situation, when Hitler used his skills to deal with the mess he got in to. He was charged and arrested for treason after hijacking a government meeting and taking over the government of Bavaria. It is linked because in Hitler’s trial he impressed the judges so much they only sentenced him to 9 months instead of the normal life sentence. This was important to Hitler if he wouldn’t had have been such a great speaker then he would have never had a chance to rule over Germany as well as all the publicity He got from Mein Kampf, which He wrote in the time He was in prison. Mein Kampf clarified Hitler’s ideas about Germany’s future.
Hitler’s skills are also linked to the Treaty of Versailles because he always spoke about it in his speeches. It’s linked to the Economic depression as well because the people wouldn’t have had listened to Hitler if there was no economic crisis, they would have no reason to, as they wouldn’t need to turn to anyone for help.
The economic disaster was linked with many causes one of them being the decision by Papen and Hindenburg to appoints Hitler as chancellor in 1933, because of the chaos in Germany after the economic depression the government didn’t no what to do. They needed a scapegoat to get them out of the picture. They had to make a decision quickly or Germany was in trouble and couldn’t sort it out themselves so they thought if they appoint Hitler as chancellor it would be up to him to solve the problems and the blame would be shoved away. So thinking this they made a decision that backfired on them. This was extremely important, the decision meant Hitler could run the country and make all the important choices as chancellor.
The decision by Papen and Hindenburg to appoint Hitler as chancellor is hugely linked to the Enabling law, 1933 because if Hitler was not appointed as chancellor then he wouldn’t of been able to pass the enabling law which gave him the power to make up his own laws for the next four years without consulting the Reichstag.
This was very important especially for the future of Germany as it now meant Hitler could make up any law he wanted, which was frightening for the Germans and even more for the people Hitler disliked. He was effectively now the dictator of Germany.
All the causes were important in my opinion the Treaty of Versailles started it off, it was the spark that lit the fire, it gave Germany terms which were harsh, it made many Germans hate Britain, France, USA and other countries and Hitler was one of them.
I personally think that the Munich Putsch and the decision to appoint Hitler as Chancellor was the least important. They were small compared to the other causes. The Munich Putsch was most dominated by Hitler’s oratory personality and leadership skills, if anything, it set him back a bit instead of helping his rise to power.
The decision by Papen and Hindenburg to appoint him as Chancellor was a big chance for Hitler but it was not too much to do with him after all the decision was not up to him. If he would not have been appointed Chancellor it would have been bad for him but being a man with the skills he had, he would have got another chance to get as big as he was possibaly. Both of these causes were still very important to Hitler’s rise in power, just not as much as the other causes.
Economic depression was still a high factor, it was such a huge phenomena in Germany that it had to make some kind of impact to Hitler’s elevation to power, which it did. It made people take notice of him and kept him in the forefront of peoples’ minds constantly.
The Enabling Law was of high significance for the future of Germany. It was vital to Hitler so that he could pass any Laws he wanted and could put into use his ideas from “Mein kampf” now that he ran the Country. The Enabling Law was enormously influential for the future of Germany.
A very important cause, in my opinion was Hitler’s oratory, personality and leadership skills. It was the backbone of all the causes as it got him where he wanted to be. If this cause was not used it could of jeopardized Hitler’s future enormously. It showed that he utilised the strengths that he had to the best of his abilities that added to him gaining popularity. Hitler was very confident in himself. He was assertive, aggressive and arrogant. Despite all this thousands of people would turn up at his rallies. He manipulated people into extreme Nationalistic beliefs.
Hitler was the Dictator of Germany. It seemed he was on a winning streak that nobody could stop. The importance of Hitler’s oratory personality and leadership had the biggest impact overall in Germany. Although without the right circumstances it would have not been as big an effect on Hitler’s power as it was. Hitler’s words were the stepping-stones for the present but would the words become the hell of the future.
