To allow recognition of The Student Room. To show recognition for the AOL company. To allow people to see that this is the Microsoft website 'Small Business Centre' Target Audience People buying dettol/want to know more about the Dettol website Students who want to go on the forum People who are provided a service via AOL i.e. Internet service. For people that want to find out more about Microsoft Small Businesses Suitability to purpose Suitable because 'Dettol' is written clearly with appropriate font. The blue and green contrast very well and the white 'sword' is vivid. Suitable as it is a forum, a chatting website; hence the speech bubbles surrounding each word. Different intensities of the colour blue contrast really well with the chatty, informal white font. Suitable - the name is clearly addressed in capitals, with the logo accompanying it. Straightforward, the same Microsoft logo is Portrayed through-out the site, the only thing that is changed is the subtitle of the section (Small Business Specialist). Impact Hard to miss. Thick white outlining makes the name stand out. Use of speech bubbles detonates that is a forum.

My grandparents are approaching their Golden Wedding Anniversary. It is my objective to organise the event for them.

Objectives Of This Unit. Introduction. My grandparents are approaching their Golden Wedding Anniversary. It is my objective to organise the event for them. Tasks. Tasks that I will have to perform will include... * Using a word processor and database to write a letter to local hotels, asking for information about prices, availability and food. * Using a database to create a list of guests for the party. * Creating invitations for the party and merging them with the database to personalise them. * Creating envelopes for the invitations, and print the envelopes out by merging them with the guest-list database. * Creating menus for the evening, with the same colour scheme and format as the invitation. * Sending directions from guests houses to the chosen hotel, and send them to guests who live outside the county of Pembrokeshire. For each of the tasks I will give examples of my work and explain step-by-step how I completed each task. Task 1. Objective: Send letters to local hotels, requesting information about whether they can cater for a party of approximately sixty people. It would also be helpful to find out information such as pricing and any special offers available. Step One. Firstly, I had to obtain the names and addresses of local hotels. To achieve this, I visited the Yellow Pages website, www.yell.co.uk, and searched for HOTELS in PEMBROKESHIRE. This gave

Spreadsheet design

This specific spreadsheet is going to be designed for a company called Nu auto parts co. Nu auto parts co. is owned by Mr. H.A. Magecha It is situated in Derbyshire. This company has been operating for the past 35 years. It is one of the largest and oldest motor spares company selling spares. They deal with all sorts of motor spares. The User Requirements They have millions of motor spares they don't even know half of the things they have as they have no record of anything. When they sell goods they write invoices, cashsales manually. So I thought of finding a solution for them to this problem so I decided to design a spreadsheet after talking to the user. The user wants this spreadsheet to be able to calculate the exchange rate on the landed cost and additional of customs duty and mark ups to all the parts, profits for each item. At the moment they do everything manually, for example write documents like invoices, cash sales to give. I personally don't think this gives a professional look to such a company. Figure 1 and 2 show how the documents look. The new proposed system of the company spreadsheet must be user friendly and easy to use by staff who are not very familiar with the use of I.C.T. the spreadsheet must also be presented with documentation that can be understood simply. The spreadsheet will allow the company to access a profit and loss

spreadsheet project

Information Communication Technology Spreadsheet project. Analysis The company has issued its tour guides with laptop computers that have Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office XP installed. They have asked you to produce a spreadsheet template to help the tour guides efficiently record sales of these additional trips and tickets. The tour guide travels out from Paris with the guests to Calais, where the tour guide gets off, and the coach continues its journey to London. The outward coach returns to Paris later that day with the new guests and collects the tour guide who has waited in Calais. The tour guide will take orders for the additional trips and tickets from guest parties/families as the coach continues on to Paris. Before leaving Paris, the tour guide will have received an e-mail with an Excel attachment complete with the guest list for the coach, so they will not need to enter the party/family names. Excel is perfect software for designing spreadsheets, as it allows you to make a template. A template is a saved spreadsheet that can be copied and sent to lots of different people so they can fill it in as many times as they want. The purpose for making a spreadsheet is to collect and organise data. You do this by crea The spreadsheet should also have data validation that organises the data into groups; a way of changing the currency of the payments due

Developing an I.T. system to monitor School Attendance

. 2. CHOICE OF PROBLEMS The model that I am going to develop is about class attendance, which show the entire student name and their tutors. Because it is better for me to find information's about the student using tutors registers and get other information in the college library. Any one in the college can use this model like student, teachers and even parents of the student can get any information they want about their children. My investigation and analysis I attended to do is that I research information in the Internet, class register and collect information from books. The facilities that I am going to use are forms, micro buttons, and queries. My achievement is that parents of the student in the college can use the database to get any information they want about their child without even disturbing the teachers and making appointments with the teachers in the college. How I am going to do the model is that I have collected information in a tutor register and type them in and designee a macro buttons in this project and I have used spreadsheet for this project. 3. FEASIBILITY STUDY Find out if the time is developing. The system is reasonable and produces a feasibility report to show the objectives of a project, problem, and make a recommendation; feasibility report describes what is required from the system. The following shows how the present system works.

Analyse appropriate hardware and software needed.

Analyse Hardware * CPU -(Central Control Panel) This is used for the computer to actually run all the folders and files are stored on this. It holds all the Video shops contents. Spreadsheet Technical Report - Teacher Grade book. My task was to produce a grade book for primary school teachers; the aim of this spreadsheet was to allow teachers to input scores and record student progress. In this report I will attempt to explain the processes I went through to produce the grade book. Step 1 In order to create a professional, user friendly grade book, I firstly wrote a list of the items I wanted to include in my spreadsheet using Microsoft Word, before I started creating it. I did this so that I could make sure I had included all the functions required, as I changed their colour from red to black once I had completed that function. Step 2 Once I had completed this, I wrote down what functions/data each individual page would contain, and the order each worksheet should go in, in Microsoft Word. I did this because it allowed me to have a chance to analyse the amount of information and functions which were needed on each worksheet. It also have me the ability to understand the order in which my worksheets should follow, for example, if I had put the maths report after the english worksheet instead of the maths one, then it would not have run in a logical sequence of events, and would have most likely confused the user (the teacher.) I did the worksheet layout before creating my spreadsheet, as if I had not prepared and gave a structure to my

Producing materials to promote healthy eating.

Review The five a day DIDA project is all about eating healthily; to do this it is recommended you eat five pieces of fruit and vegetables a day. Our goal in the course was to try and make people aware of what they were eating and try to help them eat more healthily. The Five A Day project. To help me keep in check and understand what I need to be doing to use my time efficiently I made a plan. My plan is moderately easy to read and I used colour as a key which makes it look visually attractive. My plan is useful for checking what I still need to do. I've managed my time pretty well by catching up on work at home on anything that needs doing; if I didn't do this I think I would be behind, so this has helped me lots. On my plan we planned when we had holidays or IT days which could affect if we could work on PC's in school. Recently dew to bad weather the school system has been down so we have lost out on time on the school computers; in order to keep up to date we had to hand Wright in lessons and continue planning what needs to be done when we got the access back on school PC's. Other people helped me lots by giving me advice and tips and just generally what they thought about my work. They commented on Images, Colour schemes, layouts and Music. Once they had told me what they think I used it to adapt my work and make Version 2's. "A really good concept here Sam with
