The project that I have decided to make will be a Final Fantasy Fan Club.

ANALYSIS INTRODUCTION The project that I have decided to make will be a Final Fantasy Fan Club. I have decided to do this as my project because it is something that I am in to, and therefore I will be able to input a lot of information into the club without having to research too deeply into it. I have decided to call my club 'Final Heaven', I have decided on this because it is a 'final' fantasy club, and it will be a 'heaven' for its members as they will be able to chat with other members and receive exclusive information and offers based on Final Fantasy. My club will have two sides to it. The first side will be a data side, where I will create a member database ready for members of my club, and I will also work out all the finances, which go into my club. The second side will be the media side; with this I will design my own advertising campaign, which h will include a TV advert, posters, flyers and a web page. IDENTIFYING THE PROBLEM At the time of typing this I have only ever seen Internet Final Fantasy fan clubs, these only provide a limited amount of resources, and offer nothing that can be taken away, only the opportunity to talk to other Final Fantasy fans, and see pictures and gain advice. I think that although this is good, there is a lot more which could be offered. So I have decided to try and go the extra step and offer more to the Final Fantasy fans than a

Aids and Barriers to Communication

Aids and Barriers to Communication Every time a type of document will have reasons why it is good and bad for being used. Theses can be aids and barriers, and now I am going to show how effective these can and when they will be used. Business Letter The purpose of a business letter is used when writing from one business organization to another or for correspondence between such organizations and their customers, clients and other external parties. It is always written in a formal language, for example, this is done depending on the relationship between the parties concerned and the more formal a letter can be in business usually means they are in need of something quickly, this can be an aid towards a successful communication because strong business contacts can help a business go a long way because you are building theses when you do this. The medium of a standard letter is usually done on a word document and then send to someone via the post or email or even fax, for example a business might feel a letter through the post would be more formal so they might think this is a way to build successful communication. The format of a letter can only be written with theses things: Date of writing. Return address Recipient's address Salutation or Greeting Message (body of the letter) Closing Signature, printed name, and position of sender. This can become a barrier

Excel - Analyse

Analyse Description of Hardware Here is a table that contains the hardware that I will need to create my system, and the hardware that will enable it to be used: Hardware Device To be used for... Type of Device Bad Points (disadvantages) Good Points (advantages) Final Choice Printer This will be used to print out daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports Laser Printer * The price of the printer itself is very high * The "refill" is also expensive for this type of printer (toner) * Long Lifespan * Its prints lot faster then standard printers. * Also prints in colour I am going to use a Laser Printer because of several reasons, the main points being that is fast at printing and the running charges are low, although the printer itself is expensive, its lifespan is long, so its makes it efficient. Ink Jet * When the paper has been printed on, it becomes soggy and tends to crumple. * The ink is not fast drying, so it can smudge easily. * Printing times are much slower then a laser printer. * The quality is much greater then a laser printer. * Prints black/ white and colour. * The printer itself is cheep and the ink is fairly priced as well. Keyboard To input information in the reports, and updates. To edit data on the computer. Standard Keyboard * Different sizes available, this may be a problem for the user, as they may find it hard to type

A new IT system in a Dubai Marauders Rugby Football Club

ANALYSIS OF PROJECT I am going to investigate how a new IT system in a Dubai Marauders Rugby Football Club can solve its problems. It is the biggest club in the region and most of its members are expatriates. It has a large rugby sevens tournament that takes place annually, and many international sides attend the tournament. There is also a good youth rugby scheme. It is located on the outskirts of Dubai City near to some motorways for good accessibility. Currently there are three grassed pitches, but there are plans to extend the number of these. During the tournament the club expects about ten thousand people to attend. Anyone who wants to use the club's facilities has to become a member. The Problem The current system used at the club is extremely poor. Applicants have to write all the details on a blank piece of paper. This often leads to the applicant becoming frustrated, as they do not know what information is required. The secretary then writes down the information on another pieces of paper and then clips the member's photo to and files it away. Currently the filing cabinets take up a lot of room and there are files of people who are no longer members. The secretary normally has to spend hours manually searching through all the filing cabinets to find the person's / peoples' file that they want. The club's finances are kept on sheets of paper drawn

Database Hajj&Umrah travel agency

DATABASE PROJECT ANALYSIS Identification THE PROBLEM In the past few weeks there have been a few complications and problems with the database in the Hajj & Umrah travel agency called Elkadi Tours. This is the problem that the manager at the agency in Central London has approached me with. These agency chains have been running for roughly fifteen years and this particular agency has been running for ten years, with hardly any complaints. The manager, Mr. Osman Yusuf has suggested that I make a database, which could hold all of the various parts of the information needed for everyday applications for various visas and tickets. There have been various problems concerning ticket and visa application. This is what I am here to try and sort out. The problem is becoming quite serious now and the respectable agency chain is starting to lose business because of the businesses faults. At the moment, the chain is using a filing cabinet, which is not a very good idea because people cannot read each other's writing and then the staff are trying to book tickets when that particular airline is fully booked or visas have been re-applied for this is becoming time-consuming for the respective company. This cannot keep going on as complaints have been now encountered. Another problem is that the file paper is easy to lose and the booking sheets often become dirty and then illegible.

GNVQ intermediate ict unit 4

GNVQ ICT Unit 4 Report Unit 4 Project proposal Jermaine Carthy Project Title Athletics Championship scoring system The purpose of this project is to meet the needs of the person I am going to talk identify below. My description of what the user needs: My user keeps the scores at an athletics championship. At this point of time the scores are kept on paper this can be a problem because the paper can be easily lost and damaged, it is difficult to make back up copies because of it been on paper. This also results in calculating manually, so this slow down the process and may result with inaccurate information. What I am going to do about this is replace this system with an electronic one where all the function/calculations will be taken place on a PC or a lap-top. This piece of hardware will need to be able to run excel 2000 or any other excel preferable a later version. Also it will need to have the capacity to save and back up these system files I create. Furthermore it will need a printer to print out graphs of the information that is created. There is a need to print out graphs because information is easier to comprehend and the graphic presentation will make a quick analysis easier for the coaches and the organisers of the championship. As the user might not have a lot of knowledge of ICT I will create a user guide to help them through the process of scoring using
