Ford also now developed or has taken over (Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, land rover and Aston martin.) Fords Aims With ford there would be a wide range of aims these aims would vary from benefiting the company to benefiting to shareholders and to reliability of there cars I am now going to list and explain some of these aims One of Ford biggest aims would obviously be to make a profit that was bigger that it's profit the previous year For Ford to make a profit it has to sell enough cars or products as it can so that it covers its costs.

2. ## I predict that all the cars that I have chosen at random will have similar attributes, but in detail they will be completely different and therefore not comparable.

I also believe this to be a secondary factor. Method of Data Collection 1: To collect the raw data for my 55 cars, I used a stratified random sample. I had two main sources to collect my data; my own personal 'Auto Trader' car magazine, and the 100 random used cars and their attributes given to me from the teacher. I used 23 vehicles from the magazine, and 22 from the given data. To work out which cars I was going to select, I used the random number generator on my calculator, by pressing 2ndF, 7, =.

3. ## Which factors influence the price of a second hand car?

I also think that the amount of mileage done will affect the car in most cases. Again, this will not affect all cars, as some cars are purchased purely for their rarity and are never used. I do not think that the colour will affect the depreciation in price greatly as it is something that can quite cheaply and easily be modified. These are my main predictions but I do have other opinions on what will affect the price but there are too many contributing factors. Coursework First of all, I added another column to the table that showed the 'Depreciation in value' so I could refer to it in the project and make comparisons between it and other factors such as mileage, engine size, age etc.

4. ## My task for this coursework is to statistically analyse the data given to me regarding Gary's used car sales. I shall begin with looking at the data.

8,400 4 Ford 48,000 1.3 31 6,300 10,300 2 Ford 26,000 1.3 32 4,100 8,900 4 Vauxhall 37,000 1.3 33 6,600 8,500 1 Vauxhall 9,000 1.3 34 7,800 10,500 1 Peugeot 13,000 1.4 35 8,700 16,000 3 Vauxhall 42,000 2.0 36 2,000 8,300 7 Peugeot 65,000 1.4 The first question which occurred to me was, is there any correlation between the difference between the price when new and the age. I expected there to be a positive correlation if there was one, showing that as the age went up, the drop in price from when the car is new and when it is re-sold increases.

5. ## Used Cars Price - Mathematics - Use the information to investigate what influences the price of a second hand car.

This process requires the use of a calculator, so the data can be randomly chosen for us to then move on to interpreting it. Randomly selected cars: RANDOMLY SELECTED CARS 53 97 32 33 49 44 84 47 86 34 91 66 57 23 43 51 14 36 38 15 22 73 2 58 24 85 11 27 41 1 In the table above, are all the randomly selected numbers I have collected, and with this new data I can match the numbers up to the cars and write down what randomly selected vehicles I have been acquainted with.

6. ## Becoming the Worlds' Greatest

My three hundred thousand dollar price tag has nothing to attest my performance, so far. But the Safari Rally is no ordinary rally one would be mad enough to attempt. It was beyond mad. I was about the sanest, most pragmatic, and yet most underrated rally car in history. I had to be underrated, after all the last time Ford won a Championship was fifteen years ago; hardly amusing. But today I, the new Ford, am thinking differently: I want to win and only win. Overconfident title contenders such as Mitsubishi, Subaru and Peugeot have always been up there in front of me.

7. ## Vauxhall Riots

In Vauxhall. It was a place of pure escapism. A place where all people could let go of where God had put them, if not entirely, and feel the equality of all men because every one of us lives and therefore feels all the same burdens in life. Why else do you burn such a place; a place you need and hate? The means and manner of your arrival at Vauxhall were just as much a sign of social distinction as the clothes you wore. The gardens allow for two means of arrival, either one could be "in style" or not.

9. ## Car Prices Coursework

Now I couldn't go to each region in England to collect my data, I had to overcome this problem. I decided to go onto the Internet to find the data. I went on www.yahoo.co.uk where I found some car prices. I took a sample from each region randomly and then sorted my data. I decided to limit my data to certain makes of car because I felt if I mixed the types of car up (i.e. a luxury car with a family salon)

This sheet provided information on the 2nd hand price, the age, the make, and the price when new, the mileage and the engine size in litres for each car. Each of the scattergraphs have a line of best fit with the formula of a straight line drawn on, with substituted letters to help make an equation for each of the second hand price and whichever factor is plotted against it. For example, the equation of a straight line is Y = MX+C, on my scattergraphs, Y= the second hand price (SHP), M= the gradient and the depreciation of pounds per

12. ## Ford’s Pricing Strategy.

The customer is number one. We do the right thing for our people, our environment and our society. By improving everything we do, we provide superior returns to our shareholders. Problems within company The American giants have a lot of catching up to do, as most Europeans want cars that are small, stylish, and affordable. In a market that includes 27 carmakers, they have plenty of choices. And although Europeans bought a record 16.5 million cars and trucks last year, that was still 3.5 million units below production capacity. In that cut-throat environment, not everyone is going to survive.
