Why should these babies be different? They deserve every wonderful thing they could be given! Abortion was supposedly legalized to stop child abuse. This was the decision made in the Roe vs. Wade case. Why would legalizing the death of children help child abuse? And it didn't help child abuse ratings. In 1973 when abortion became legal there were 167,000 cases of child abuse and neglect reported, in 1980 there were 785,100 cases reported, and in 1987 there were 2,285,000 cases. So the entire reasoning for legalizing abortion was unsuccessful. All abortion does is free the mother, if you can even call her a mother, from all responsibilities. So it all goes back to, if you are mature and responsible enough to make the decision and take the risk, then you should me mature enough to accept the consequences and at least try to give the child the best life possible. Abortion is simply selfish. I once again am pro-life. I believe abortion is unethical, immoral, and lastly but not least, murder. I do not want to live in a world where it is ok to kill your child before it is even given a chance to live in the world. The main point is if you are going to take the risk, be ready for the consequences and don't just run away when things get tough.
