Explain what you understand about the bible and church teaching about abortion.

Another quote proving that God sees everyone as special individual even before they are born is in Jeremiah 1,

 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew [] you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
"Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."
But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.  Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

In the bible it states that children belong and are made to live in a special place in the eyes of God, and should not be killed, Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Luke 18:16.  

 Different Churches have different views on abortion for different reasons.  The Catholic Church is strongly against abortion and sees it as a sin in any situation, Human life is sacred – Pope Paul VI once said.

Although in other denominations such as the Church of England believes that nonetheless the life of the fetus is not absolutely sacrosanct if it endangers the life of the mother.

 Although all of the different denominations generally teach you that in the case that someone is pregnant and considering abortion is that you should not tell someone what to do but to help and support them in their decision.
