If we kill anybody in the world that means we are taking a part of God life as well, in Genesis 1:27 it says
“So God created man in his own image’’…………
Christians believe that God is the Lord of life because he is the creator. God has given life to everybody, so it is only right that he decides when it begins and end for the “Lord killeth and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave and bringeth up’’.
Christians believe that as life comes from God then the belief has developed that life itself is sacred, it is holy and set apart for God to rule because in Psalm 139:13-16 it helps to quote stating: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb …………… All the days for me were written in your book before one of them came to be”. God has planned our lives for us before we were born and for someone to take away the life especially during abortion is totally wrong because all human life, including life developing in the womb, is created by God in his own image and is therefore to be supported nurtured and protected. Didache 70 C.E quotes: “You shall not kill by abortion the fruit of the womb and you shall not murder the infant born”.
Exodus 21:22-25: “If someone is fighting and hurts a pregnant lady and she loses her child……… the one who hurt her is to be fined”. God loves us so much that he has taken the time to warn us that if we kill a baby we shall reap what we sow.
When God created the world and saw it was good he decided to create man and when he had created him to his own satisfaction “God blessed them and God said unto them be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea…………… and over everything that moveth upon the earth”.
This was a big responsibility given to us by God; we were put in charge so we have to look after it. Everybody has got lots of different responsibilities and each differ from each e.g. families, siblings, friends, business and animals/pets. In the bible God shows us how significant we are to him and he proves it to us by “casting out the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked” (Luke 8:33). God shows us that we are more important than the animals we sometimes eat, tame and care for and that he is responsible for our own welfare so in other words we could say he is setting an example for us to follow which is us taking care of other people. God’s love for us is unconditional and has made life a luxury for mankind and has also put us in charge over things.
Christians believe that life is a special gift and also a blessing from God because God paid a big debt by allowing Jesus his only begotten son to die for us so that his blood may be shed to pay for sins. Life must be protected and used according to the way God would want it.
“There is a time for every thing, and a season for everything, under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die…………… a time to kill and a time to heal”. Ecclesiastic 3:1-3.
