I will be investigating the Period of oscillation of a Simple Pendulum.

A simple pendulum can be made by suspending a mass from a string so

that it is free to swing. If it is displaced from its central equilibrium

position, by pulling it from side to side, and then released; it will swing

backwards and forwards in a regular repetitive movement called an

oscillation (one complete swing).

I will investigate the effect of different variables (input variables) on the

period of oscillation (output variable).

Things which are variable are:

* the length of the pendulum

* the angle of the pendulum

* the mass of the pendulum

Prediction

I predict that the period will be affected by the length of the pendulum. An

increase in length will produce an increase in time. I based by prediction

on the scientific theory I found in a physics text book:
