I’m pointing directly at those who think they would be a “good and professional” gambler and also those who are having an attempt to gamble or to bet in any other ways. Think again! Would you want to waste the rest of your life behind the bar? Would you want to have your heart being torn apart by the thoughts of guilt and regret? Would you want to see your families, your friends or your relationships all fall apart at one point? Would you want to look at yourself in the mirror not seeing who you are as a good and mannered student, but who you have become as a criminal or a killer? Would you even think for yourself?
The evil Gambling is abusing people physically, mentally and emotionally at the same time. With several studies and statistics, doctors and scientists have shown that the level of anxiety, worrying and mental break down is much higher in people who has started or are gambling. Also, the attempt to commit offences or suicide is even much stronger in serious and long-term gamblers. In one way or another, gambling would easily lead us to an extremely bad lifestyle and disturbing habits such as drinking or smoking. Many gamblers have been living their lives unconsciously, knowing nothing about surrounding things and people. They seem to lose the belief and faith in themselves or even their goals and targets in life. Some even don’t know what they are doing after their next bet. How ridiculous!
Not just self-effects and personal breaks down, gambling also leads people to devastating failures at work and study, following by massive financial loss and un-efficient output. People’s concentration becomes less and less effective everyday since they start to gamble. It sometimes ruins the relationship between peers and working partners owing to the aggression and anger that gamblers might have. Their hobbies of gambling soon become an obsession, then an addiction that their mind is filled with the thought of either losing or winning. The productivity of the output drops down and plummets to lowest level due to poor performances and low effort. In the end, this results in an extremely high amount of unemployment and also bankruptcy of sole traders. Why?
As soon as we start to gamble, it’s not only us the ones who suffer but also those who are close to us such as our families, friends and the entire community. I believe it’s appalling when your child whom you had spent time and effort to bring up gambles, so I believe that you all know how disappointed and awful your parents should feel when you gamble and destroy your own life or career. I believe that it is such a traumatic news for your peers know that a very good friend of theirs gambles. Would you even think of those people? Those who have always been caring for you, talking about you in such a proud and pleasant way. You will never know putting a full stop to your life when gambling also makes others struggle with theirs, as you have been had such a huge meaning to them. So why gamble?
Gambling itself is an illness, just as same as alcoholism, drug or sex-addiction. You will never know what their symptoms and side effects would be, but bare in mind, that they are no good for a human! You are lucky enough to have such a high standard of education, you are fortunate enough to receive so much care and experiences from you parents. So why waste it all for just a minute being stupid and agree on some ridiculous bet or gamble?
Personally, I think gambling is one of the most shaming ways to earn. Being rich and affluent or having everything you want instantly by spending such money is not a life. It is a silly and ludicrous game which you have had yourself flowing with it to an endless point. You can hardly stop and think of how far you have gone! Never! So why not grow up and live with the pride of earning money using your own talents and intelligence? Life gets tough sometimes, that’s why nothing is as perfect as you want it to be. There would be times when you feel hopeless, indecisive, confused or even shocked with your pockets empty. Think! Think carefully of what to do but not to gamble because in the end, you will be empty!
