Behavior is an important notion in our society and our everyday life because people judge you on how you behave and from that will decide if they want to know better or not so behavior determines the outcome of your social life. It also determines the professional life like to what degree you eligible for a job; it is that eligibility for a job is determined by the amount of studies you achieved but let's take the situation where a boss has to give a promotion to give and he has the choice between two candidates one having a higher level of studies than the other but the second on his side has a better behavior than the other and so get along with his co-workers. Well the boss will give the promotion to the candidate with less education but a better behavior because that means that person can be trusted with more responsibilities.
Behavior also determines the most important thing in our lives social or professional, mutual respect. By behaving properly you are showing respect to you friends or your co-workers and seeing that they will automatically respect you for the person you are because nobody respects a misbehaving person, he is only being disrespectful and embarrassing himself at the same time so nobody would respect that type of person, there is no reason to do so.
Let's talk now about behavior in a less general way but also in an other context, behavior in a class.
Students during their classes are asked to behave properly in order to be able to listen to the teacher and learn but also in order to not his classmates learning because class time is learning time and it is important especially when you are in DP1, you have no time to waste with stupid jokes. Students must also behave to show respect to their teacher who are their mentors and guides here to help along way to reach success and achievement.
Let's take and analyze the case of my behavior in class.
As a diploma student I consider myself, judging on what teachers tell me and on their comments in my report cards, as a respectful student in the manner that the teachers represent the authority but also in the fact that they older. For the matter of my behavior I think properly at school, I don't depredate the school, nor get into fights nor insult other students but the problems comes to my behavior in class in some subjects. With no purpose of disrespecting the teacher or my classmates, some I feel to comfortable in some classes like English class so I let myself go and I forget that I'm in class and I make stupid and immature comments. I don't know why I do that, to be funny or something but I know it is puerile and immature which I am not. It is a bad habit that I need to work on the hard way which means either make a deal with Mr. Holmes where he gives me push ups every time I do that or make me write essays like today but I should have to go that far I am old enough and mature to control, those ideas are still present in case I slip again.
By writing this paper I understood my lesson and I know how to behave for now on and not fall back into the immaturity mode that I sometimes. I am 18 and I am a diploma students I should know how to control myself and being the oldest in the class I should show the example. I know now that even if Mr. Holmes is a cool teacher I am not suppose to diminish his lesson and I should at the opposite behave even more and act even more maturity than in my other subject because by cooling with us he is treating us like adults and he is showing us respect and from my side O have to behave like the mature and educated person that I am to show him my respect that I have for him. I also know that by making me write this paper he is helping become a better person and teaching a notion that is and will be essential in the future, through my entire life because behavior along with respect are the keys to unlock the doors in life.
