- What are the similarities between creation and re-creation?
The similarities between creation and re-creation are that both involve order and restoration in land. Also both involve living in harmony and good prevailing and over powering the evil. So in the movie “The Lion King”, the creation was filled with happiness and a well structured kingdom and also the re-creation was the same way.
- At what precise moment do you believe the movie changes from:
Creation to De-creation
The movie changes from creation to re-creation when scar tempts child Simba to go to the elephant graveyard, so Simba disobeys his father’s restriction from that place and goes there anyway with the bird and Nala. Over there the three of them started to get attracted by hyenas and Mufasa had to come to his rescue. So at this point the evil (Scar) is staring to overpower and smart the good (Simba).
De-creation to Re-creation
The movie changes for de-creation to re-creation when Nala finds Simba and finally after all those years she sees light at the end of the tunnel. Because now that she has found Simba he can go back home and fight for his kingdom as rightful King. So now, at this point the good is powering back up to fight and throw the evil away.
Part #2:
- If Simba had to pick three people in his life that he absolutely could not think of knowing who would it be?
If Simba had to pick three people in his life that he absolutely could not think of knowing they would be Mufasa, the baboon and Timon & Pumbaa. Mufasa because he is Simba’s ideal and father also, because he is the one how gave him courage to go back and fight for his throne. The baboon because without him Simba would not be able to find his father’s spirit and he would not be able to learn from his past. Finally, Timon & Pumbaa because they are the ones who saved Simba’s life gave Simba another life to live in and be proud of.
- Out of those three people, if Simba needed to pick the one he needed the most, who would it be?
Out of those three people, if Simba needed to pick the one he needed the most; it would be Mufasa, his father. It would be him because his father helped him throughout his journey of life and gave him courage when needed to also Mufasa was his ideal. When Simba was a child he wanted to be brave as his father and always compared himself with his father and that helped him grow strong.
- If Simba could go back in his life and find and be with a single person from his past whom he never sees anymore, who would it be? What does this say to him about that person?
If Simba could go back in his life and find and be with a single person from his past it would be his father, Mufasa because Simba loves him tremendously. Also because his father is his ideal and Simba would want to thank him for always being there for him and giving him courage and self-confidence after Simba lost it. This tells Simba that his father was a very important person and Simba’s life would not go on with without him.
- Who are the ones Simba would have been better off not knowing, the ones who have had a bad influence on you or who bring out the worst in you?
Simba would have been better off not knowing, the ones who have had a bad influence on him which is Scar. And if Simba had not known him his father would probably have been alive and the kingdom would not have seen the dark ages yet. Also he would not have to fight his own family member over a kingdom.
- Who is the person who stirs the greatest feeling in Simba?
The person who stirs the greatest feeling in Simba for the good is Nala because he loves her a lot and because they were also best friends. Also because she found him and saw the king like quality in him. The person who stirs the greatest feeling in Simba for the worst is Scar because he has been trying to kill him since Simba was a child and also murdered his father. Lastly, he also took over Simba’s kingdom.
- How is the person who most challenges Simba to be better than he is, who is calling him to develop his gifts most, maybe even to the point of annoyance?
The person who most challenges Simba to be better than he is, who is calling him to develop his gifts most, maybe even to the point of annoyance is his father, Mufasa. Because he is the one who encouraged him when Simba was feeling down by coming to him in a spiritual form. Also when Mufasa was still alive he gave Simba live lessons and taught him to be a good and royal man.
- If Simba had to list them, what have been his greatest joys so far in life?
So far in life Simba’s greatest joys would have been when he got a child at the end of the movie. This would have been his greatest joy because Simba could now follow his father’s footsteps and teach his daughter the way of life and Simba could now enter fatherhood. Also because it would be every dad’s greatest joys if they got a child (in most cases).
- What have been Simba’s greatest sorrows or disappointments?
Simba’s greatest sorrow is when his father was murdered by Scar. This would have been his greatest sorrow because Simba was really close to his dad and he was his ideal. Also any son would cry rivers if their father died so it is usually natural. Additionally Simba thought it was his fault that his father died so that makes him miserable.
