70 years before, people will not think about how the environment is. They just only care about how their business is., so that industrialization have been happen. Because of the industrialization, it will provide air pollution (by the smoke from the industry), water pollution (by the chemical liquid from the industry to throw in to the sea) and deforestation (by the furniture or paper using from industry). Because of deforestation, it will evolve to desertification. Fewer trees will affect lower solidity of the soil, it will also affect how the ability of absorb power. Then the land will start to less water and becoming drought or desertification.

Nowadays, people want to sustain the environment because of the next generation. They use different ways and try to let the environment become better, such as EMS, education and government policy.

In HK, because government wants to reduce people throwing rubbish or spit on the floor, then they set a law. If people break the law, they will have $1500 penalty.

For the education, all the schools are start teaching environmental friendly from primary school. What is 4R (Reuse, Replace, Reduce and Recycle), how to sustain the world and how important it is.
