Abstract

Criminal Justice is alive and thriving in every city in America, as well as cities that lie outside of the Americas in other countries. Criminal Justice is many things today, but the most recognized version of Criminal Justice is the countries Law Enforcement agencies. The men and women of law enforcement are the most recognized group of individuals as far as law enforcement goes. When I think of “Justice” I automatically think of our police department as well as sheriffs office. Within this paper I will discuss what Justice specifically means to me, and how I plan to strive to make sure that my form of justice is met to a certain criteria.

What Justice Means to Me

Crimes not only effect those who have been directly attacked, but they effect everyone around.  Crimes can effect an entire community. Reno’s Brianna Denison case is a wonderful example of that. Within the last year Reno has witnessed more than one murder case. Three specific cases in Reno, Nevada I am familiar with, two of them involving good friends of mine. To me Justice means that anyone who has committed a crime will at very least serve time in jail or prison for what they have done.

Denison had left the house without her shoes, cell phone and purse. Authorities believe she was barefoot, wearing only sweats and a white tank top. The nineteen year old college student will not be found until February 15, 2008 when a company worker discovered a body on a company's ...
