I will then have to use the data of which I collected to show what I have found out about the question, hence the title. This will be issued under the data analysis section. I will then have to make a conclusion, as to what I have learnt and discovered, and to what effect this has upon the society.
Finally I will have to complete an evaluation, which is to show how effective my investigation has been, how useful and reliable the results were, whether or not my investigation has raised any further questions or issues and how these questions or issues could be addressed.
I will have to apply to the fact that my investigation should be no more than 1200 words, with three sides of maps and diagrams. This could be a problem as I tend to achieve better results when I am able to write a bigger amount.
The location of my area, which is Central Avenue, is situated in West Bridgford, Nottingham. As shown in location maps one and two. Location map one shows England and Wales, and has a clear focus on the whereabouts of Nottingham. It includes all the major cities and towns.
In location map two, it shows the location of West Bridgford in amongst the south east of Nottingham. This map shows it's location clearly, and also has some of the nearby villages and towns to help you understand with a better view.
Although West Bridgford is only two miles from the centre of Nottingham, it remained a small rural village until 1881, resisting any attempt to bow down to the industrialisation which had overtaken Nottingham and its adjacent parishes-primarily due to the ownership of the land being largely vested to one family-the Muster's.
The first development began in 1881 when plots of land became available for building on within the triangular area bounded by Loughborough Road, Millicent Road and Musters Road, and from then, when the population was 293, until 1891 it increased ten-fold and within 20 years it was more than 20 times the 1891 figure.
The pictures of which I have provided for the secondary data, are set out to portray West Bridgford from the early 1900's when the development had been well in hand for some twenty years.
