From the tables I have made I can see that site M has done better in

the on-site evaluation to the map evaluation, site F has done bad in

the on-site evaluation and has done reasonably well in the map

evaluation.

Both sites are lacking in some certain aspects, but these weaknesses

can be overcome and dealt with. These two sites are very good in

certain aspects are and not so good in other areas. I think that the

best site for building a new industrial estate on is site M, this is

because the site has many advantages to it and few disadvantages, and

this site has a lot potential.

Our aim is to visit Cranliegh to find out what is the best site for

the new industrial estate in Cranliegh.

2. Visit Hewitts industrial estate

3. To carry out a survey of the industrial found on Hewitts

industrial estate

4. In teams we are to collect the data from each and every site

5. To collate the data into tables

6. To refine the information into graphs

7. To interpret the data and find out the advantages and

disadvantages for each site, so that we can find out if it is a good

or bad site

8. Having completed this analysis I will then come to a

conclusion as to what is the best site for a new industrial estate in

Cranliegh.

Decision Making

Why did we visit Cranliegh?

The reason was that Cranliegh was the closest large town to Sayers

Croft.

Why did we visit Hewitts industrial estate?

We visited Hewitts industrial estate because we wanted to find out the type

of jobs in Cranliegh and to see what an industrial estate looks like and

what it provides to the people of Cranliegh.

Why did we work in teams?

Teamwork is essential because we need to be able to communicate with

each other and understand each other. We must be able to get along

with people in a none confrontational way and act as adults.

We need to decide what questions to put in the criteria and to check

the quality and the scoring of the sites.

To decide within my team what the advantages and the disadvantages are

and to decide what sites are the best. To find out which we thought

were the best, we added up the scores and the one highest was the

best.

In the interpretation I needed to analyses the scores and to compare

and contrast the two best sites.

The last thing I need to do is to choose the best site.

Conclusion

After studying site M and Site F I have come to a conclusion that site

M is better suited for a new industrial estate. This is because from

using a scoring method sheet (this can be found on page ), I found

out that this site met all the statement of criteria's and has scored

high in each one. This site has an excellent basis for

infrastructure and as grate potential.

I am now going to point out some of the good points about site M that

made me choose it. An industrial estate needs 4 hectors, site M is

larger then 4 hectors and will allow Site M to expand into different

specific areas. Site M has good screening all the way around the

site, this would be essential because it would prevent any residential

areas likely to champagne against the new industrial estate from being

made in the future.

These are few of many advantages site M has, this site has few

disadvantages to it and these are nothing very major or that will

bring concern in the future. All the graphs for this site can be

Thought out the conclusion I have told you the advantages to this site

and I have complemented this site all the way through the

conclusion. I believe that I have chosen the correct site
