The two film trailers that we have looked at are of the mummy returns and tomb raider. The makers of the film both have covered the different aspects to making the trailers appealing and tempting to make people want to watch the films. In the trailers they show the story line briefly to give people ideas of what they should aspect. The trailers are made so that people’s expectations are that it will be a brilliant film to watch.

The film trailer of the mummy returns has a sense of adventure. Makers have intentionally produced this trailer in this sense so that the impression is given, that the trailer implies that the film is packed with action and adventure. The trailer is always moving the characters are always doing something runny or fighting.

The trailer in it self is filled with a lot of special effects. Many camera angles are used to convey the different situations in the film. When it is a romantic part there are only the two characters in the angle this called a two shot angle. This angle technique is also used when there is a conversation between two characters. So this angle implies that what the characters are saying is important.

When there is humour there usually is a close up in the character that you focus on the humour of that character so that you don’t look about in the scene at the other characters so you know that something is going to happen.

The action aspect of the film is covered either by the camera runny after the characters or the characters runny towards the camera. This allows the filmmakers to demonstrate the tension in the film.
