What Is The Role Of The United Nations?  Is It Still An Effective Organization?

In this essay I am going to be explaining what the United Nations is, how it was formed, who is in the United Nations, why it was formed and whether or not it is still an effective organization.

The United Nations was formed on 24th October 1945 by 51 countries.  It was created as an attempt to avoid a repeat of world war two.  The United Nations slowly evolved into a global government organization by 1995 the United Nations had grown from having 51 member states to 191 these are:-
