With reference to the 1880 to the present day, explain why people chose to migrate to Britain?

I have been asked to answer is a situation known from 1880 to the present day, why people chose to migrate (to go from one place to another) to Britain.

Britain is a developed county which attracts many immigrants from other counties. This occurs due to pull and push factors.

Throughout the periods 1840, the Jewish, Irish, and Asians left their homeland to depart for the UK.  In my opinion, the Jewish were most vulnerable in their own counties.

The Jewish society were very exposed from their countries during the nineteenth century,

In my heart of hearts, I both longed for and dreaded the end of the war, since it was bound to confirm what I feared all along; that I would never see my parents again.

This is an extract from a Jewish website, it states how at the start of the Second World War, children had worries at the fact their parents will never return back to their homeland from counties such as Britain.

Jewish immigration increased during the nineteenth century as the Jews fled from persecution in Russia and Eastern Europe to Germany and then Britain

The people of the Jewish community suffered similar discrimination but were free from the fear of being brutally hurt or even killed. Due to this, in 1881, the amount of Jewish migration increased to England. By 1901 there were about 250,000 Jewish people in the UK. The British citizens became anti-Semitism against Jews due to Jews overthrowing the jobs of British people as they were willing to accept low wages
