work experience

11 February 2005. I have been informed that I do not work on Mondays and my working hours are: Tue/Thu/Fri 9:00am - 3:30pm and Wed 9.00am – 12.20pm. I have also been informed that I will be having a 1 hour lunch break.         For my citizenship GCSE coursework, I have been assigned to complete a research report based on my two week work experience. This report will be approximately 1,600 words in length, and is worth 40% of my final Citizenship GCSE grade. The title for my research report is Health and Safety, and I would appreciate any help and assistance in researching this topic. As part of my research I am planning to arrange short interviews will employees at work, ask questions, read the policy documents and observe others at work.         Some of the areas I will be researching for my topic are: What are the legal responsibilities for employers providing Health and Safety? What are the main risks or hazards in your workplace? How does the workplace deal with them? Are there people responsible for monitoring and checking Health and Safety? If yes, what do they do? What responsibilities do employees have to their own and other people’s Health and Safety? How might Health and Safety in your workplace be improved? Once again I will appreciate any help and assistance in completing my research report. I'm looking forward to my placement and I can assure you that I will work to the best of my ability.
