How Problems Emerge Between Roommates in Universities

How Problems Emerge Between Roommates in Universities In China, most university students live on campus with roommates together. This living condition can provide them opportunities to contact and learn to get along with different kinds of people. In my dormitory room are four girls who came from different cities from different provinces of the country, live together in an about 20sq. room. We are classmates and, therefore, spend most time together studying, resting and entertaining. This is a typical and the simplest living condition of Chinese universities. We benefit a lot from this life style. Nevertheless, living in a dormitory may also create problems between roommates because of their different personalities, miscommunication and the lack of forgiveness. Misunderstandings exist essentially because they have different personalities of the roommates. Before students entered universities and met each other, they were brought up in different families. Different life experience and circles gave them totally different personalities. According to the personality research web (2001), personality is completely described as the five-factor model that is comprised of five dimensions: openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism (Five-Factor Model. A trait). Divergences in any of these aspects can unavoidably lead to problems. There is

Samsung China: The introduction of colour TV.

SAMSUNG CHINA: THE INTRODUCTION OF COLOUR TV When Korean companies began to make their way into China, their principle aim was to secure low cost manufacturing centres. However, Chinese companies became competitive much faster than anyone had expected. They soon caught up with Korean counterparts, forcing Korean firms to alter their strategies and start viewing China as a strategic market rather than a production base. Korean firms started to advance to China following the normalization of diplomatic relationships between the two countries in 1992. In particular the signing of trade pact between China and Korea stimulated direct investment in China because it obviated the need for indirect trade through Hong Kong. Samsung is a Korean firm. Mr. Chung Yong, president of Samsung China Headquarters was considering a recent meeting with the marketing director who was responsible for developing a marketing strategy for the entire China market. The topic at the meeting was the marketing strategy for colour TVs, which had been chosen as the flagship product for the China market. Samsung had to decide whether it should focus on the low or high-end market segment (or both), and whether to import or produce locally. Critical Questions: * Which market segment should Samsung China target: High-end or low end? What marketing strategy should be adopted? * What Product lines should it

Assess the impact of Western imperialism on the process of state formation in the Middle East with reference to Egypt and Iraq

Assess the impact of Western imperialism on the process of state formation in the Middle East with reference to Egypt and Iraq. 'Colonies do not cease to be colonies because they are independent.' Disraeli, B. (1862) House of Commons Disraeli's position succinctly exemplifies the attitude and actions of the British in relation to both Egypt and Iraq. It will be argued that the effects of Western imperialism, specifically British, not only impacted on the immediate aftermath of their presence, but also contributed in shaping their future social, economic and political landscape. This can be illustrated by Nasser's extended hold of power primarily on the platform of anti-imperialism or by the resilience of Iraq's social cleavages and tensions that were either created or exploited by the British. It is arguably the state of quasi-independence, characteristic of a British post-imperialist stance, which has left the states in an uncertain location; constrained in certain areas, such as foreign and defence policy, yet lacking the domestic political base to affect real, and often very necessary, change. The impotence of the Egyptian and Iraqi regimes can be linked to the socio-economic changes the British imposed and their reluctance to accept an alternative to the Western construct of power. An assessment of state formation 'must attend to the precise matrix from which [it]

Report for the Rainbow company - What is required to run the business properly?

Report for the Rainbow company What is required to run the business properly? Product A) Functionality- product has to be low cost because of limited funds and also so that the business can make a profit. B) Appearance- the range of products must be laid out in a simple and easy to understand manner. It does not need to be overly extravagant due to the target market of students and teachers. C) Quality- the snacks need to be well known brands such as Mars and Nestle, as most of the target market will trust these known brands and the quality of them will not be questioned. Promotion A) Advertising- have posters put up around the college in the toilets classrooms and the mega-bite. Basically anywhere they are able to think of where there target market will be. Also advertise in the college bulletin, as almost all of the college students will then here it. B) Budget- must have a budget so that they are able to have more control over their finances. I suggest zero budgeting so therefore they are aware of what they can spend before they start spending money on e.g. paper. C) Public Relations- go to different classes and explain what they are doing and why they are doing it. This may convince people to buy their product when they understand it is for a good cause. Price A) Listing Prices- Make sure that your prices are clear to see when they are presented on the table

CD4+ Cell Development, Function & Dysregulation in Allergy and Autoimmune Diseases

CD4+ Cell Development, Function & Dysregulation in Allergy and Autoimmune Diseases The helper T (TH) cells in the body are central to all branches of the immune system. They are very aggressive cells, due to their role as 'molecular guardians of the body' and so they must be regulated and controlled. If this regulation or self-tolerance breaks down, then this provides a window for the development of allergy, being a "disease following a response by the immune system to an otherwise innocuous antigen" [12], or autoimmunity, where the body's immune system targets self antigens. Before an understanding of the role of different CD4+ cells in immunopathology can be achieved, an appreciation of the different characteristics and interactions of these cells must first be considered. After preparation of antigen onto a major histocompatibility complex-II (MHC-II), an antigen presenting cell (APC), typically a dendritic cell (DC) or macrophage, will present this to a naive TH cell. Depending on what type of pathogen has been encountered, the APC will stimulate the polarisation of the naive cell to one subset of TH cells. This is achieved by the release of specific cytokines from the APC to the TH cell, and the subsets of CD4+ cells are each defined by their unique surface receptors, the cytokines they release and by the types of invaders they target. The first subset to be

application of an essential nursing skill

Discuss what the nurse needs to know in the application of an essential nursing skill In this assignment I am going to write about pulse-rate. I have chosen this essential nursing skill because it was of personal interest and it would be an opportunity to gain further clinical knowledge. In order for nurses to gain a basic knowledge and understanding of the patient in their care, it is essential for a careful medical history and a routine examination to be carried out. In hospitals, nurses carry out routine observations every day. Observations are done at least once a day; they can be done as often as every ten minutes if necessary. The observations are carried out on the surface of the patient's body. The results of the observations will indicate which homeostatic control mechanisms, if any, are not working efficiently. This will help to determine the patient's current state of health. For example, observations can indicate if a patient's condition is declining or if they are getting better with treatment. The other routine measurements which are carried out are: body temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry and peak expiratory flow rate. Before the nurse carries out a procedure, it is essential that they explain to the patient exactly what they are going to do, for what purpose and they must get consent from the patient. Definition of pulse rate

U.N. Millennium Development Goals Activity

U.N. Millennium Development Goals Activity It is often considered that that global targets are easily set, however rarely achieved. So this brings us to the question whether the MDGs are feasible at this point. According to the recently collected data (UN.org), progress is evident in more than 130 countries concerning the reduction of absolute poverty, hunger and AIDS incidence. It is, however, difficult to summarize all the achievements regarding the many dimensions of economic and human development. For each successful achievement a serious of negative outcomes has followed. For example, the rates of child mortality have increased steadily during the past 10 years in Cambodia, Zambia and Kenya (CIA.org); the primary school enrolment indicators show that less people have received education in such countries as Mozambique and Tanzania compared to the previous decades; incidence of hunger has increased significantly in Burkina Faso; access to clean water is becoming a leading problem in many developing nations, and as the result the spread of water-borne diseases spread in the population (Bangladesh). HIV/AIDS rates demonstrate that the taken measures are not strong enough and that its eradication goals seem unrealistic to achieve. The HIV prevalence rate has doubled, triples, quintupled and even increased by 10 times. Still, progress has been made in other fields in many

Sweet Dreams

"Sweet Dreams" By Alex Boultwood Bullets flew everywhere, Jason leapt across the office firing his Desert Eagle, crouching down behind a desk he reloaded and cautiously peered out. Three shadowy figures stood at the entrance wearing balaclavas and clutching M16 rifles. They frantically searched to find their target. Bodies lay everywhere, mutilated by the bullets, which ripped through them. Instinct took over. Jason rolled out into view unleashing a magazine into one of the enemies in confusion the attackers retaliated violently discharging rounds of M16 bullets haphazardly into the room. They still stood at the entrance holding up their guns ready to kill anything with a pulse. Nothing. Jason waited gripping his gun. They moved cautiously into the office grasping their rifle defiantly. One of them searched purposefully in their pocket and successful yanked out a grenade, ready to neutralise the threat. He slipped his finger into the ring waiting for the right moment. Jason's heart began to beat louder in his chest. Jason would need to stay where he was until he thought it was safe to make a run for it. He slumped against the desk thinking of how he got into this mess. The day had started normally. Jason stepped out of his car, his shoes crunching under the snow. He looked up observing the magnificent structure, which towered over him, The Osomaka Building. Soft snowflakes
